Raw Food Rehab

Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

early morning peace

from my bedroom window

 {insert photo here}

five of our friends have children graduating

many gifts to make, since buying is too expensive and impersonal.

they all want me to make some homemade candy

i guess word got around :)

they are not raw, but man o man are they good.

so yesterday i made a dbl batch of salted caramels

and some peanutbutter meltaways

then there is a chocolate taffy and an unknown choice.

i don't mind making them since i am not crazy about candy.

i make hubby maple creams hand dipped in chocolate all the time

with nary a bit of desire to lick the bowl, spoon or pot.

raw candy tastes waay better to me.

since i interviewed all those raw chocolatiers/chefs for the magazine

purely delicious, i have been making my own with a bit more finesse...

they look more hand made than 'home made'  :)

i am having some trouble making this blog happen today.

first 4 tries i was not able to insert a photo...

then an entire paragraph disappeared when i hit enter for a new line.  grrrr

i think i will try to publish this and then come back and try to edit it.

maybe that will help solve whatever gremlins are interfering.  hmmm.

so this weekend is just beginning and yet all spoken for - so in effect it's almost over.

hopefully i will see more & more of the sunshining thru instead of just a glimpse once a day.  i could really use some.

i just came back inside from surveying the inevitable damage that results whenever my dearest man goes out to mow...

yep, the lilies are stubble and i have no idea where my horseradish plant could have gone.

...well, i guess as long as i plant more than i lose- i am ahead.  :)

i am going to publish now and try to edit the photo into my blog... if it doesn't work, know that it was a very peaceful picture, tee hee.
