Raw Food Rehab

Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

It is soooooo close to the end of this month and I cannot believe how fast and relatively easy it went!  I have learned so much about myself and I now am certain that plant based vegan diet is the way I need to go to feel my best.  Once January is over I am not going to be as strict about being 100% raw as I was for January.  I plan to eat very high raw with some cooked vegan food every once and awhile but there is no need for me at this point to set strict rules for myself on percentages.  So what did I have to eat?

Apples with Almond Butter (so obsessed with this right now)
Mean Green Soup (this is now one of my favorite go to meals!)
Dates

I didn't eat much on day 29 but that is due to lady time.  I am not hungry on day 1 of that time and usually have to force myself to eat.   That might be a little TMI but it's the truth and it can effect how and what you eat.  So there you go :)

You are doing Rawtastic, Amber!

Ha!  I have the same obsession with apples and almond butter.  All nut butters taste good to me on apples or bananas.  But that almond butter combined with the apple tastes so much like a caramel apple without all that sugar to me : )

Sounds like a great idea carrying fruit around. I come home to a house with the aroma of food simmering on the stove. The night is the hardest to overcome hunger pains....for me.

Cece, I've lost about 10 pounds or so... I don't really weigh myself but I did in the beginning and I will again at the end.  I think the first 2 weeks are the hardest because it's all I thought about...what I was going to eat, was I hungry, what was I going to make for dinner, etc.  Now it's just how I eat, I don't really think about it. It's so much more natural now.  The only other time that was hard was when I was too hungry and didn't have any food on me.  Then I would crave anything that sounded convenient.  Now I make sure I carry apples, oranges, or bananas with me and it's not really a problem.

Great job.  Have you lost any weight?  What day was your hardest?
