Raw Food Rehab

Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

Recently I've been struggling with some serious anxiety attacks, or at least I think thats what they are considering I went to the Dr. last week and got a blood test done because of my nausea, hot flashes, rapid heartbeat and disorienting episodes in which I found out that all my levels are normal and I'm not pregnant. I am happy about getting the test results anyway because it shows that I am getting enough of all the nutrients I need which I wasnt quite sure about before. That to me, gives me the go ahead to continue towards the raw food lifestyle! So now what to do about the anxiety.... I hate putting anything un-natural in my body so I will not take anti-depressents and am also leary of Xanax. So I ordered an herbal supplement called SERENE that has great reviews and research. I also set up chiropractic and massage appointments. If anyone has any suggestions food wise or other, I am open to advice. One day at a time...

I do have a lot of abdominal gas pain and feel like i have to go to the bathroom when this happens. I have an extremely hard time meditating especially with the little ones around all the time.. Currently i am taking a STRESS B vitamin with B 12 and magnesium but it doesn't work as well as i need it too.. Thank you very much for the tips Sharon. Have ou heard anything about Serene?

I would suggest supplementing with B vitamins (B Complex).  Also keeping Nutritional yeast (high in B vitamins) in the kitchen, I would put it on salads... it's great in sauces and soups too - gives a cheezy taste.

Also breathing - deep - (regularly) we are a nation of shallow breathers...    especially when holding the babe - (I am a postpartum doula). Do you ever meditate?

do you still have the nausea? - ginger tea, from the fresh root, not the tea bags...

do you have any belching with the disorienting episodes? or pressure from gas around your diaphragm?

Yes, stay with the raw - the hot flashes will disappear soon!

So glad you can relax about the nutrition!

By the way I realize sorbitol is like aspertaime and is not good for you at all and they do sell these herbs seperately so i'm looking into that as well...

Thanks for the support guys!

The ingredients of Theanine Serene as listed on the Source Naturals official website are magnesium, GABA, L-theanine, taurine, Holy Basil Leaf extract, modified cellulose gum, colloidal silicon oxide, sorbitol and stearic acid.

There are no reported side effects of this product either and gets great reviews, I'll let you know if it works!

How about some herbs that are calming and use it in a tea for the anxiousness. Not sure what is in the supplement SERENE. I am sure the massage and other appointments will be nice.
