Raw Food Rehab

Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

I feel so tired and depressed and sad. My stomach turned on me and its not getting better. I have massive headache, my stomach hurts and my back hurts. I feel like everyone is against me and I'm really homesick. I don't have anyone to talk to, hence spilling my guts here.

Its like my body decided that since I felt so well last week that it was just too much. I was just too happy and elated about life. Its time to screw with her (me) again! I did have 2 green smoothies though and I managed to sort of keep on track.

I think I know what would help but, triphala always seems to get things back on track. But its so expensive right now, I'm trying to avoid it and try different things before I give in.

I'm done complaining! I love you all and thanks for reading this :)

How long? It is your body who's gona answer that. Try steamed vegetables one evening and see how you feel the next day. Then the mashed bananas and at lunch have some soft fruits again, again bananas mashed with may be

strawberries, pieces of apples. Then in the evening the steamed veggies (+ a spoon of miso). See how you feel.

Well, it started because I have ibs and its kind of been in remission and I could eat what I want. But it started up again because I got nervous and ibs is mostly stress induced. So from my experience food isn't the problem, I have to take things to get it under control.

I will try your suggestion though! How long should I do this for? A week or a few days?

May be it is time to slow down and have in the evening some steamed vegetables and nothing else. May be your stomach has some iritation of some sort and sometimes the steamed veggies do the trick. Then in the morning bananas mashed, they are gentle to the stomach too. Try that. May be a spoon of miso as well is good. Fermented food also does good to the stomach.

Good luck.

I got the triphala and my stomach stopped hurting. But that isn't the problem, its when I go to the bathroom to be honest...its not good. I was in the bathroom most of the night, I decided that it would be a good idea to get triphala plus. So maybe I shouldn't take the normal dose and just use 3 a day instead of 6 like t says on the bottle.

I can't really stop doing the raw food even if it would help because my stomach seems to hate too much cooked food. I get terrible heartburn, that's if I can even keep it down long enough. I have to stick it out because raw food works and under normal circumstances its so great.

Thanks everyone for your encouraging words. Maybe I'll have good news to report next time.

Triphala might be a bit pricey....but if you can get some it sounds like it would really help.  You must have digestive issues.   Victoria Boutenko did a green smoothie experiment and it showed that regular green smoothie intake (at least 1 quart daily) actually increases stomach HCl (necessary for digesting food, most people don't produce enough) and also, of course, helps create healthy regularity.  So hang in there, and get some triphala.  You are worth it!  You can afford it....you just have to choose.
