Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

Well, I'm still feeling great!!! Things are going well and I'm still walking without the cane. It's been 6 weeks since I turned to this plant-based lifestyle. I finally got to purchase a scale, I've lost 16 pounds and tons of inches. I brought a skirt just before I began this journey, and now I've taken it in a second time. I've lost a total of about 10 inches in my tummy area. This is great and I'm so happy. I now weight 241.4 and My goal was to be 239, so I'm not too far off my goal. My new goal for the end of July is 230.

I started this journey because as you know, my doctor told me that I had the beginning stages of hardening of the arteries. That scared me straight!!! Straight to juicing, which I did for about 4 weeks. The cost became prohibitive at 15.80 a day. I finally had to supplement it with fruits and veggies. Now I have juice and fruits for breakfast and then in the afternoon, I have a salad or wrap or sandwich made with Ezekiel Bread and all natural ingredients including avocado, red onions, jalopeno peppers, tomatoes and romaine and salsa. In the evening I have fruit again, usually a 1/4 or 1/2 of a cold, juicy watermelon or some other fruit.

I started this journey with horrific pain in my knees. I need two knee replacements but, I'm trying to be healed the natural route.  I could barely get up and down out of the chair, bed or toliet. Now I'm exercising one hour every other day and walking without my cane. Thank the Lord. Now the pain has lessened greatly and its easier getting up from the sitting position.

In the book " The Veganist"  they state that within a month your body can start to heal. I can attest to that, I'm off the metformim and hope to have a reduction in the blood pressure meds soon. The cholesterol levels are good, but I still want them down lower.

I know that i have changed, at a birthday party last week, I did the hustle, except for the turns and someone told me that I look different and I'm wearing brightly  colored clothing now. I never thought people paid attention to all of the black and navy blue I was wearing all the time.I feel alive now, that I'm eating living foods. Its just that simple. Life begets life.

I hope that I have another great report at the end of July. Have a great 4th of July everyone!!!

I'm attending a picnic on the 4th of July and I'm taking a watermelon, peaches and Gardein grillers( fake meat for the grill). It worked before for me before and I know it will work again for me.

Please prayfor me through this month to stay the course and to meet my goal for the month.
