i have been gone for a bit it seems! i lost myself there for a little while and ended up gaining back 4 lbs of what i lost but in the grand scheme of things after dropping 25 thats not all that bad. i am back to counting my calories and being as raw as my budget will allow. i am phasing out cheese from my diet (which is hard because damn do i love cheese) i think if i could find a substitute for cottage cheese i would be golden. i have to say that im so impressed by everyone here and their positive outlook on everything and the supportive nature of the conversations. in a time of year that everything seems to be selfishly oriented raw food rehab is a breath of fresh air!

Comment by Jean ❤ on December 23, 2011 at 4:51pm Cheese was the last animal product I (reluctantly) stopped eating - that was 20+ years ago, so it is possible! Maybe some fermented nut or seed based cheeze could be used to satisfy that cottage cheesiness desire you have. Chia pudding is yummy - perhaps making it with nut/seed milk instead of water would give you some creaminess. Good luck!

Comment by Mae Jardine on December 23, 2011 at 1:37pm Welcome back, Misty. Four lbs. isn't much and you will have it resolved in no time at all with upping the raw. Perhaps a nice cold Chia pudding flavored to your liking could be a good substitute for the cottage cheese? Have fun experiment.
