No rigid rules, labels or dogmas.... just REAL food, for your body, mind & soul!
It has been a long while since I have written in my blog, so let me give a little update.
I am more than half way through my certification at The Institute of Integrative Nutrition! I am so glad that I am taking this course. I have learned so much more from the course than I ever thought possible. And to expand on my credentials I am also taking the Raw Food Coach & Teaching course from Karen Knowler that starts in May. I am so blessed to be able to…Continue
And I feel better and look better than I have in years! So today I turn 52. I have a sparkle in my eye, and a hop in my step. I am alive and loving life. I am at the beginning of a new phase in my life that will take me anywhere that I desire. I am taking the world and embracing it with all that I am. I feel gratitude in every fiber of my being, I give thanks for each breath that I take, for each smile that I see, for each hug that I give and receive. I see abundance in everything, and know…Continue
It is The Optimist's Creed, written by Christian D. Larson almost 100 years ago. As you read this wonderful piece of writing you will discover its total harmony with the teachings of The Secret. The words have been modified slightly to make them even more powerful. Be sure to read the words "I Promise Myself" at the beginning of every new line and you will maximize all the power of The Secret.
I came across this again and this is something that I plan to…Continue
I am currently going through a major life issue and have been striving to keep things on an even keel. I am not having issues with keeping raw, but I am having to check myself on keeping my sanity during this stressful time. I have kindly reminded myself that this is a wonderful step in the right direction to fullfill my passion.
I will be starting an entire new life and I know that is the best thing to happen to me in quite some time. I have decided that I want to make a differnce in…Continue
For many people speaking about making love is taboo in our society. I want to let people know that making love is great exercise and we all have a sex drive, this shouldn't preclude us from letting us have the best time possible while getting our exercise too! The calories burned are phenomenal! It is my understanding that 30 minutes of making love is equivalent to approximately 8 miles of bicycle riding in regard to the cardiovascular system. You are also giving your lymphatic system an…Continue
I have been going through some great changes in my life recently. One of the best is to know that everything that I want will come to me if I only change my thoughts. I read this in The Secret - Daily Teachings and want to share with you.
To change our lives, at some point we have to decide that, rather than suffer anymore, we are going to live in happiness. And the…Continue
So to begin my second day at this wonderful event ;I had enjoyed yoga so much on day one that I started the day with yoga. What a wonderful peaceful way to begin the day. I then enjoyed the breakfast that the wonderful family of Chef Wanda Abioto lovingly prepared for us, and right after attended her talk that was very enlightening. What a beautiful family they are. They have a cafe in Portland, OR called The Green Lady Cafe. If you are…Continue
I can't believe the wonderful weekend that I just had.
I started off by driving to this event on Friday. The Inn at the Mountain is located in Welches, OR by Mt. Hood. I drove up there from Albany which is a little over 1oo miles driving the back roads. I can't believe how serene the drive was. The road I was on had waterfalls and streams that cascaded just within…Continue
Infowitch had posted a link to Daily Om on facebook that I signed up for, thank you Infowitch. I found the message for yesterday touching and wanted to share with you all.

Choosing Loving Care
Good Day all my wonderful friends.
I made some raw lasagna the other day. So simple,
I made the "meat" with soaked walnuts and garlic, a little salt.…Continue
I have been so busy lately, so I thought that I would drop by and say hello to everyone.
I woke up and made some juice with romaine, fennel, cucumber, red bell pepper, one carrot and ginger for a kick.
Good Morning Raw Food Rehab!!
I am doing fine this wonderful morning. I just juiced one apple, celery, romaine and one cucumber for breakfast! Tasty and light! Yesterday I received my new Omega HD350 and tried it out last night. I have a feeling that I will be using this constantly! I'll be in the Liquid Lounge for awhile if anyone comes looking for…Continue

I made a smoothie this morning that I will post in the kitchen. Didn't get to take a picture as I was too busy catching up on my email.
Yesterday I soaked some sunflower seeds and cashews so tonight I will make me some Spicy "beans" from Russell James recipe and I'll have to think of what to make with the cashews.
Yeah the weekend.
This is the time when I get to catch up on my home chores and get ready for the coming week.
I will be planning my menu today and getting my needed items from the store.
But of course every day is a good day! I am feeling good and upbeat today! Is it because it's Friday?
Regardless today will be a good day!
I purchased a new video due to a recommendation here, it's called "bellyfit earth". The video is fitness infused with belly dance, african dance,…Continue
Yesterday I had a lovely salad, the juices were just not enough so I decided to add the salad and was fully satisfied with eating it. I felt no guilt for not choosing to juice only for 10 days. I have made a choice to eat healthy and enjoy every minute that I am alive. We only have the present, as the past has already been and the future is yet to be. So I will live in the now and enjoy it!

My juice for today is ready and I am looking forward to a great day. I made a version of what I thought would be V8 juice, however my juicer (Greenstar) didn't do well with the tomatoes at all. It doesn't like soft vegetables. That's okay, it is a learning experience. I think that I may get some more tomatoes at the store on the way to work and blend them in the travel blender and add them to my juice. Other than the tomatoes it was…Continue
I spent 1 1/2 hours preparing my juice for work time. I juiced romaine, beet greens, kale, cucumber, celery, parsley, beets, fennel, ginger, pear, pineapple. I kept the greens away from the fruit. This only made 3 mason jars of juice. I think that I overestimated how much juice I would get from my greens. I'll make sure to get more celery, kale, parsley as these seem to clean the juicer best while juicing fruit.
I started my day with a mason jar of water with MSM and the juice of one…Continue
Well I had a craving for something sweet, so I whipped up a quick sweetie.
Wow, it just hit the spot. I don't measure but this was only about a half cup of sweets.
And you only need to eat a spoonful.
