Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
Let it fall to the ground
I know it hurts
It is a struggle to let it go
To lose what you care for so much
But there is no real loss
Just the illusion that what escapes is you
And you can never be gone
For you are eternal
Nothing has any power over you except you
But there is no control to be had really
To what is to be
And in this…Continue
It’s that time of year again! As some of you already know, my most favorite flower is the tulip! And every year, I make a post dedicated to this particular blossom because it is just so beautiful and I want to share it!
Seriously though, when is the last time you went and played with the flowers? If you aren’t sure or you have to think about it then maybe it is time for you to do just that! Flowers are such friendly little things! And they LOVE it when you dance with…Continue
I very much appreciate a day being set aside to celebrate and help heal the earth. I know this earth day post is a couple of days late, but honestly, that works out perfectly for me. You see, to me every, single day is earth day. I am sure you have heard people (including me) say that about different days here and there but I promise you that I genuinely mean this!
I really, truly do at…Continue
(Headnote: a gastric emptying is NOT the same as a gastric bypass LOL. What I had, a gastric emptying, is when you eat some eggs that have radioactive material in them (which I know will make some people here gasp lol), and then they use a camera to take pictures every hour of the food moving down your stomach.)
So I never shared this here, but yeah, I ate a scrambled egg for one of my medical procedures in the recent past (not after I started raw). I've been 100% vegan for 3 years,…Continue
Today I went out on a limb. I found a recipe online that talked about making a "burger' out of the remnants of the juice. However, I didn't like the idea of having to add eggs to make the burger bind together. Nor did the ingredients sound like they would POP much in terms of flavor. However, the idea of making a burger from the remnants stuck with me.
I kept thinking about it, but had no real plan so, I opened the fridge and picked some vegetables out three…
This wrap is really simple, delicious and highly nutritious! If I listed out all of the nutrients and benefits you are getting from it, this post would be eight feet long. That said, I will just highlight a couple of things ~ healthy omega 3 and 6 fats from the avocado, protein from the chard and the avocado, heavy metal detoxification from the cilantro, digestive promotion from the dill and pretty much all of the vitamins and minerals that exist from all of it! Plus, it is all…Continue
Standing here in front of me, broken as you think you are.
A bird who doesn’t know they can fly.
I haven’t healed all of my imperfections yet, you say. I still need to grow.
What you don’t realize is that I already see you. I know who you are.
Your eyes shine so brightly.
Your heart literally glows.
You don’t always see your own potential. Or know all the great things you will be.
But I do.
And I couldn’t love…Continue
I eat a LOT of bananas! So I thought it would only be appropriate to make a post that is devoted to the awesome-ness of the banana! Bananas are a truly amazing fruit that have a number of very unique benefits and uses! If you would like to know more, then please continue…..
My Wheatgrass Juice recipe will BLOW YOU AWAY! Proteins! Amino Acids! You name it... WOW! I totally made this and DOWNED it after HAMMERING through my Insanity workout! Bring it? Consider it BRUNG! And then I drank this!
Okay... so what is inside?
My Wheatgrass Juice
17 grams of Wheatgrass
4 ouces of water
2 Fuji apples
My wife says I can consume anything because sometimes I just drink it. I tell her, "In thirty seconds it will be gone and I'll get all the nutrients and vitamins from it. Then, I just won't make it again."
My wife is eating well and juicing from time to time to help her get more nutrients and vitamins in her body. Much better than just eating breads, processed foods, noodles, etc... This way she is getting a bit of both.
She started with a…

Just wanted to share these photos. I'm new on here and am inspired to lose 84 pounds! I ballooned up to 252! I was 166! My inspiration came from watching Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. I blogged about my inspiration and what got me started.
On my blog you can also see my posts with my blood lab work results, as I raised my good cholesterol 30 points and my 'bad' is so good that the doctor said I am…Continue
This is my first blog post on here. I don't know it this is the appropriate way to do it. I wanted to do this one as it is about my food intake. However, I have blogged since I posted this one. I am currently on Day 36 and have lost over 40 pounds!
I received this question about my food diary on MyFitnessPal... I thought it was a good one and that others might be wondering the same thing.
Q: "When I…

We ALL have love on Valentine’s Day!
Now before you get angry and throw your chocolates at the computer screen (and I understand, I have been there!), please allow me to explain!
LOVE is our very essence. It flows swiftly and strongly throughout us at ALL times. It IS us and we are it. And so, we can never be without it!…Continue

Did you know that underneath your pretty paper, there is a gift?
It is true. We all have a gift. We all ARE a gift!
Where is yours? Are you sharing it with the world? We want to see it!!! We need it!!!
Sure your ribbons and bows are nice to look at, but the best part is underneath all that; the part that is INSIDE!
Every, single one of us has a wonderful, unique and precious present! We came here to open it! To share it!
We are all a little…Continue
Whoever said that Valentine's Day treats are restricted to store-bought chocolates didn't have much of an imagination, and "healthy options" were most certainly overlooked. American's spend millions of dollars on candy and sweets in the days leading up to February 14th every year, and billions of dollars dining out. (For cringe-worthy statistics, check out TIME…Continue

Had an okay weekend :) My boyfriend and I were obliviously watching Family Guy while the Super Bowl was on. We both learned that it was on this morning on the radio when we were driving to work/school. We aren't really the biggest sports fans! :P
Craving lots of salty things today and what have I packed for myself? Big bag of fruit. Oh well. :) I hope it helps some of the GI problems I've been experiencing.
In my last post, I mentioned…Continue

So…citrus season is in full effect! Which means there is a lot of this going on at my house:
Oh, yeah! Nothing like a good citrus haul! Gotta get in those grapefruits and oranges this time of year!
I mean, it is pretttty awesome that citrus season shows up during the time of year when people need these fruits the most! Did you know that citrus fruits are super-amazing at breaking up mucus in…Continue
