I dream of stepping on the scale and having it be in the 150s. It's not so much about the number, but I just know what it will feel like. I dream of having a picture taken where I don't look at the circumference of my belly and sigh which is also good to get that weight off the belly because it's a strain on the heart. I dream I'll finish my 30 day juice feast and be able to transfer into RAW without gaining it all back, it's realistic to think a few pounds will come back when transitioning…

Today is my 3rd day of 100% raw (99.97% hehe) and I feel amazing. Not only because I'm over the stomach distress of a few poor dietary choices not so long ago, but also because I've been having some amazing insights!
I've set a goal for myself to get back to creating my daily goals/lists :-) I've fallen away from that and realized I need to get back on track. Things have a tendency to get away from me if I don't, so that is insight #1.
I've set a goal to re-approach my…

Woke up at about 4:30am with a stuffy head and couldn't breathe out of one side of my nose. Was able to go back to sleep, but then when I woke for the day, my hands were puffy. Thought back to last night and realized that I went into a drug-induced sleep right after we left a friend's house where we had dinner. On the ride home, I couldn't keep my eyes open.
Why do I eat the food of others? This is a friend that I've not seen in about 20 years. I was the maid of honor in her wedding…

After my morning prayer and meditation, these thoughts dropped into my heart:
Never let anyone who has LESS HEALTH than you
influence your raw lifestyle choice!
Never let anyone who has LESS ENERGY than you
influence your exercise/loving movement choices!
Never let anyone who has LESS SELF-CONTROL than you
influence your eating choices!
Let someone who has more… Continue

Here is a little bit about emotional discharge and why it's appropriate and how to not worry if you're crying a lot because it's really such a smart thing to be doing. Particularly when cleansing with raw foods.
All the emotions have been kept neatly in place with overeating and eating one's comfort foods. Once that is removed, tons of emotions come up which have been waiting patiently there all along!
This is completely natural. ;)
The tricky thing about this…

I ate sooo good today! Wednesdays I have 2 classes that span from 1:25 to 7:10pm. I prepared a bunch of food in advance and stuffed it all into a bread bag. I am so proud of myself! I also made good progress on my painting.
I remembered a comment about raw pudding and researched. I used whatever ingredients I had in the house and think I made something closer to what could be raw cheesecake. I used 3 bananas, Agave Nectar, Chia Seeds, Flax Seeds, Cinnamon, Vanilla and coconut water.…

What a wonderful day it was. I haven't had a lot of FUN surprises in my life as of late, and wouldn't you know it, on day #2 I had two huge blessings?! Amazing, this raw life. This morning I received a phone call from a woman named Dolly. I didn't know her, but she said she was in charge of the LaFarge craft fair and had my name and phone number written down with "jewelry" behind my name. She wanted to know if I could participate in their craft fair. I told her I hadn't been doing much, since I…

It's weird to plan in advance and then change (update) my posts, but it's helping keep me on track.
Susan I will take your challenge and add 2 green smoothies a day. I bought some beets for the first time and and going to make a banana and beet greens smoothie.
Resa no detox yet. Usually my gums get really sore and that is my first detox symptom.
Jillian yes I'm feeling full. If I get hungry I eat. I think I generally eat less than most people due to my…

1 apple with 1/2 ounce of cheese and a handful of nuts
1 cup of coffee
1 Green Superfood drink
1 hunk of Raw Breakfast Crust, topped with coconut oil and a drop of agave
2nd cup of coffee (that's a cheat)
chia pudding with chopped apples, raisins and nuts
It's finally getting easier to eat Raw without feeling deprived. When I came back from travelling, I struggled, even though I ate mostly Raw on the trip. Breaking rules for a short time, makes me want to…

huge salad: mache, tomatoes, avocado, lightly sauteed onions, topped with olive oil, lemon juice and garlic
1 cup of coffee
chia pudding mixed with raisins and sliced bananas (too lazy to chop nuts today)
Sushi and sashi (which was a mistake, because I definitely got some wheat in the sushi, and my face is definitely breaking out--lesson learned!)
I'm back on my cardio schedule, although I haven't felt motivated to do any strength training in a while. I think…

Woke up feeling tired despite sleeping 8 or 9 hours. Woke up several times during the night and released more, I thought I got all the enema out but perhaps I triggered a bigger release that didn't care that I had to work in the morning but I'm feeling better now although the headache is still here but much less than last night. Work today in the office 8-4 then on call from 5pm tonight until 5pm tomorrow. Hoping to get some sleep tonight but who knows what will come my way.

Today, not only did I do a spin class at 5:15 in the morning and cycle up to 120 rpms (some of the time ; )... I also made it to my goal of being in the 120's! I am ecstactic! And I am grateful, grateful, grateful. Giddy and grateful. I feel great in my body and am elated to be enjoying exercise and spiritual practices in addition to eating well. It is a joy. For me, it was all about "COMING ALIVE" rather than just going through the usual motions. PASSION was my key. HAVE FUN! JUST FLOW WITH…

Day 3 -
The day started off late since my son is out of school for Veteran's Day.
Morning - tea, tea and more tea
GOOD news...I weighed 171 (this was from a 173-176 reading when I started). I took my boys to get formal pictures today and they threw in doing a family picture - now, this is HUGE for me. If I hadn't feasted for 3 days, I would have felt pudgy and rolly but since I feel light - I was fine with doing pictures. Might sound odd, but that could…

I have gotten myself on this schedule of bed at 2 am and up at 10 am. I've always gravitated toward this schedule. Or bed at 1 am and up at 9 am. Just always has to be bed after midnight and a full 8 hours sleep. I don't set my alarm unless I have to get up early for something. I feel wonderful when I sleep this way, but I don't like it. What I LIKE to do, is get up early, get everything done that needs to be done, including meditation, yoga, working out, then go to work.
When I'm…

I woke up tired, took a walk and had to drag myself most of the way. I did a juice feast (and smoothie) about a year ago and do remember being tired the first few days. I am going to do green smoothies, coconut water with green powders or spirulina, herbal teas w/ superfoods and even some master cleanse lemon aid because doing all juice is a lot of work. And I don't know about you but I hate cleaning the juicer. I think the most important thing is getting lots of greens in. Okay that's all I…

My quote for the day from Vivian Green
"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning to dance in the rain!"
watch this, it's well worth the two minutes

I made chickenless noodle soup last night and really liked it! The daikon definitely has a kick to it so I added just a touch of sweetener (maybe a 1/2 t). I didn't use a blender, I just stirred the…

LIVING CONSCIOUSLY
I will consciously think out my decisions even when thinking is difficult.
I CHOOSE to take on the challenge of making myself aware
of positive and negative natural consequences for my decisions.
I CHOOSE to think clearly instead of thinking with vagueness.
I will respect reality, not avoid reality---whether it is pleasant or painful.
I will… Continue
