Okay. I am going through a very crazy situation with someone in my life. Apparently I have attracted a sociopath. I must have been putting out strange vibes that month and walked right into it. bah. Owell. I am working on a plan to separate our lives. In the meantime, what does this have to do with my eating? Everything. Emotional issues bring me to comfort food. Today I did have my vitamins and smoothie. I did eat some fruit. But this was not 80% raw. Not so much because of my anxieties of an… Continue
I stayed up a bit too late last night...1:30 am and then my son decided to wake up at 7am :/ boo. It wasn't that bad...I did have a cup of coffee to get going. I got in my workout Disc 2 of Dove's Bodies it was FANTASTIC a little over an hour, made some yummy smoothies with young coconut water and meat. I hit up Publix for some produce - it was jam packed in there. Lunch was a nori roll with smashed avocado, bell pepper, celerey, cucumber, and green onion - very filling I couldn't finish it [It… Continue
Well, I wish as I was as eloquent as some on her. You could probably write a good story about it. This is my not so eloquent version.
My sister, one of her children, Vern , Bridger and I headed up to Exeland, WI this week-end for a family get-together. We headed up on Friday, as I had told many of you and were to come home on Saturday. We were to meet Denise (my real, life RFR friend on here!) to pick up the beautiful raw honey she has purchased and been holding on to for me on… Continue
I've been feeling pretty proud of myself lately. I've been 100% raw, with some wiggle room here and there, for 6 or so months. I can't pin point exactly when I went completely raw, it happened easily and with out much thought. Through a lot of trial and error I've learned so much. I know that I prefer an organic, whole foods, close to the earth local diet without a lot of superfoods or supplements. Although those can be fun! The non whole live-foods items I've kept on board are E3Live with… Continue
So this morning I ran some new wheatgrass through my new Healthy juicer.. and Put a shot of it in Lemonade like Susan suggested.. It's tasty.. tastes like limeade.. It still has somewhat of a grass smell.. but no grass taste.. but I can live with that.. my husband even had some.. woo hoo..
For the past 4 years we have been drinking goji juice.. paying 155.00 per month for it.. and we saw great health benefits.. but the cost has always been difficult for me to swallow.. So after… Continue

I am 51 years old, grew up watching *everyone* smoke. Well, there were a few not cool enough or not talented enough to learn to smoke...but I certainly was cool so as soon as I could get away with it I started smoking.
Well...some where in there I realized that smoking is really not good for you! I tried to eat healthy, worked in a health food store, felt guilty, but I was a total cigarette junkie.
It's been over a week since I've been here and boy did I miss it.
We had a great time hiking last weekend and while my food choices weren't perfect (I can't believe I didn't gain weight!) I stayed away from the really bad stuff. I cane home to some computer issues and a really busy week at work so I haven't been around much. I set aside some time this morning to get caught up here. My plan is to clean the house and just chill at home drinking green smoothies all day… Continue
We can all remember (or maybe I am dating myself here!) the show with Robin Leach, "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous." People with unlimited wealth jet-setting all over the world in high forms of luxury that seemed outrageous. Amazing things they do, spending their time and money on things I cannot even begin to grasp. It wowed me and still does.
As ones who have the Lifestyle of the Raw and Healthy, we can walk in unlimited health and… Continue
I weighed and measured myself today and am very impressed with my progress. T'ward the end of the day I was starting to feel very snackish so I began my curtain project. I'm almost a quarter finished.
Now the weekend is here and my meals will all be shared. This brings me a challange each time. When I'm alone I eat when I'm hungry or try to keep myself with light snacks every hour or so. But with other people I have this 3 large meals a day rule I feel I need to follow. I'm going to… Continue
Today was my complimentary session with a personal trainer at the gym. The session started out well... questions about what I wanted to attain in my fitness journey, what was my diet like (he was impressed!), questions about how many times I would come to the gym per week... but then "it" happened. He got out this little machine that you hold with both hands and it measures your body fat.
Can you say, "Holy Oh My Goodness"!!!???
Thirty-one percent... 31!!!! A third of me… Continue
Gung Ho, I was determined to go to Virginia armed and ready. Just a quick plane ride from Tulsa to Houston and then onto Norfolk for a two day Navy conference. I had packed a bag with two snack bags (re-used of course) of Maple Cinnamon Buckwheaties, 1 bag of almond butter to make milk in my magic bullet, celery sticks with almond butter, green powder, supplements and two bags of the citrus maple granola I had just dehydrated. BOO YAH! (Halloween effect) I was off and running to the airport… Continue
I got on the scale today and found that I was down 6 pounds! I couldn't believe it and thought maybe the scale wasn't working, I got on and off four times to to recheck. Last week I made significant changes but went off one night after a conflict with one of my teens. Last week I stayed the same. I didn't lose any weight. Last night I had another conflict with the same teen over grades and the fact that I buy" raw foods" read, fruits and veggies and no junk food except some organic oreos for… Continue

Hey everyone. Sorry not been updating. I've been reading a lot these days and in the kitchen making some creations. Oh working on my Halloween costume too.
I have some good news. My doctor says that my iron levels are good (they had been really low and I got shots and was worried they would dip again). I attribute them staying up to WHEATGRASS! yup those little blades are helping me out. Also… Continue
Kombacha update. I made it past the blob and didn't even notice till I looked and it wan't there! I had a pretty rockin morning and afternoon Raw-wise <3.
I am a coffee girl, however I have gone from drinking coffee ALL day long and into the night to usually not even finishing a morning cup and on rare occasion a cup at night with the TV.
I am having a problem with dinner. Tonight I was so hungry, tired, and had a annoying headache that I just wasn't in the mood to be… Continue
The day went okay today. I met up with my client and all is okay. Whew!
My eating was great! The only cooked things I had were 2 pieces of bread and some jelly. mmm. That jelly is wonderful with the Almond butter. The strangest thing occured to me after I finished eating the sandwich. I wasn't craving another. I actually wasn't craving anything! Usually peanut butter sandwiches leave me wanting another or chips or something.. this was the most freeing experience ever! I understand… Continue
Today is my 3rd day being completely raw. The longest I have gone is a week and then I caved for some warm soup. I have the mentality that it's all or nothing, and I am trying to work on reducing the extremeness of it. I have done the Master Cleanse a couple different times and always feel great when I am done. I was going to do a juice feast but I don't feel prepared for the preparation and time that goes into juicing all day.
I am a college student and I live 15 minutes from campus and… Continue
