I have been LFRV low fat raw vegan now for a month and it is working so well for me! I was raw several years ago for about a year and half but got so confused about all the cheesecakes and the fancy desserts which used nuts. Wanted to dash off a quick blog post to mark that I've been 80-85% raw for 5 years (not vegan though as I eat raw cheese, raw eggs, and occasionally cooked fish.)
I find that making an entire pitcher of nut mylk, then filtering through cheese cloth or a bag is too time consuming these days (I have a new baby at home!). What I do instead is add 1-2 tablespoons of nut or seed butter (I like sesame tahini these days) and 6-10 ounces of water to a blender and voila!
No need to filter or store, just use right then for cereal, smoothies or drink alone. It's easy to add sweetener of your choice if you like, and some vanilla or almond extract too for…Continue
