Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
I was in the original group of guinea piglets with Susan, Jodi, Robin and many others who are still around here! I lost 17 pounds or so, without dieting or going hungry, with an 80% or so raw food way of eating. (I don’t care for the word “diet” -- sounds like Atkins or something….lol) (I’m “OceanGoddess” in the Raw Food Cleanse book! :))
Well, there was just one problem with high-raw for me: I got violently ill around weeks 4-5. I had to…Continue

Today i did a Raw Living Foods class with a mother and daughter who just wanted to be reinspired to eat more raw living foods and reminded that by changing their daily rituals they can easily begin to incorporate more raw living foods into their daily diet. Changing your daily rituals is the key to making any new lifestyle work for you. you need to plan ahead and be prepared all the time. you need to know exactly what you plan on eating all day so that you can prepare it that morning or the…Continue
Picture this: the Road Runner cartoons where the coyote's legs are spinning as fast as he can get them to go then he hits the pavement running. That is how I am feeling this week.
Something clicked for me. I am ashamed to say that for the past two months I have been on a SAD binge, eating very few fruits and vegetables or green…Continue

Guess I'd better get Rob to take my picture and get my measurements handy for posting in the weight room..
So I have my dehydrator out, I'm gonna make some Yam chips, My organic lady brought some last week and we don't eat a lot of them but they'll make good yam chips for if I get cravings, I used to be a girl guide, "Be Prepared"...lol
Let this be a warning...when blending always, always make sure the cover it tightened securely to the blender :)

I have signed up and paid for the new "Go Fresh" Initiative. I am very excited!
I went today to "The Vault" and it would not let me post or anything. We are supposed to post all our pre measurements and weight et al.
Am I going to the wrong room? Please help.
With all the excitement generated because of everyone camping out at the Vault and Weight Room doors, I pulled up a blog post from the past that I was reminded of today. It is similar to when we first opened the doors of Raw Food Rehab! It reminds me of Black Friday when everyone is waiting in line…Continue
One of my passions is spending time in the outdoors. This year has been a great year so far. I have been enjoying snowshoeing, backpacking and canyoneering trips with a great group of adventurers. I notice that my packing list is getting carved into perfection by my experiences of leaving the civilized world for remote areas.
I’ve embraced the challenge of backpacking in the raw (diet, of course). How can I go from my fruits and vegetables diet, especially high in fresh greens,…Continue
I am sitting here wondering how to begin today's post. I am totally stoked that the Vault is opening soon and on the flip side, I'm emotional and fearful that I won't be able to be successful over the next 11 weeks.
During a conversation with an acquaintance last night, something he said really stuck…Continue
I just wanted to send out a quick update to tell everyone that I was able to bring Minah home last night from the hospital.
We still will probably have the next surgery in about a month, but, thats a ways off and right now we are going to focus on healing from this one.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, it really means a lot to us.
The happy stuff.. I came home to an eggplant and my squash is getting…Continue
I've been a part of raw food rehab for a long time. I've been in a out of the raw food network. I've "participated" in two initiatives before and I'm now about to participate in the one starting tomorrow. What I've realized so far is that throughout all of the hard and frustrating decisions to eat or not to eat "that (SAD)" food, to drink or not to drink "that (SAD)" drink, it's always been a decision. I unfortunately chose the SAD route more times than not. As I celebrate my birthday…Continue
I thought it'd be a neat idea to share our Raw Results goals (& means!) with each other, now that the initiative is just around the corner. I already gave my kitchen a fabulous make-over yesterday (moved out the microwave, moved in the dehydrator!) and am all ready. How about you?
One of my neighbours has just put a note through my door telling me that a phone company is planning to put a mast up on the field by our houses. They have already obtained planning consent (there was only one planning notification put on a lampost on a part of the road that not many people pass!
We have an elderly-persons home and a home for disabled children here - both groups really vulnerable to the effects of radiation, I imagine - not to mention the rest of us.
