Raw Girls Night Out !!!

There are a few things I find really tough when trying to stay raw....when my son orders pizza, when he makes toast, when I smell movie popcorn. When it comes to pizza and toast, I just dont go there if you know what I mean, better not to get started. Besides I am home with excellent alternative yummies.

Recommendations?

I made some delicious tomato bruschetta for dinner tonight. What should I do with it? I don't think it would be that great on a salad, but I'd be willing to try it. Any other ideas? I don't have any chips, sadly.

Its really good and I want to eat it!!! I'm missing the crunch of crostini...

Pre Vault Day 3

Today started with the usual smoothie-spinach,banana,strawberries,hemp seed and a clemetine(added 1/2 scoop of raw protien powder)

I had 3 raw Brawnie balls today. These are the size of a nickle each. I used Diana Stobo's recipe but added vanilla and sea salt.

Lunch was a larger green salad with tomtaoes,cucumber and onion. An italian dressing.

to vault?

ok, so i'm pretty sure i'm going to join the vault this time around--i mean how could i not? it sounds awesome! i also find enthusiasm sooo contagious, so the fact that so many people are so exzcited for it gets me excited too.



i'm 100% raw (have been for a while now) but i still think the vault will be good for me--right? i DEFINITELY need to lose a few... :) just a couple questions about it-- does everyone stick to a meal plan, or is it more about sticking to whatever you feel… Continue

Better Weight Next Time

I really enjoyed being in the vault this past initiative. I didn't lose what I wanted, but I lost some. I enjoyed the accountability part believe it or not(even when I gained). I guess it's being able to be honest without feeling judged.
I'm looking forward to the next initiative, and hopefilly better weight(loss) next time

3/30 - She's back!

Back in the saddle again!

Gym at 6 am was so good. I am killin' it again.

B - pineapple green juice

L - salad with plain baked tater and a green juice

S - watermelon, pineapple, lime juice = OMG GOOD!!!

D - salad at whole foods. :)

Hit the gym at 6 am. Give it 110%. Remember you can do anything for 30 day!

B - watermelon juice (um...yum!)

D - salad with friends. Water only.

Food processor help

Hello all my darlings,

Someone gave me a food processor and I really don't know what to do with it.

Let me explain....

I'm using a personal size blender to make my smoothies now.

but, I'm wondering if I could process the fruits and veggies in the food processor and then put it

into the blender and make smoothies.

My problem is that now my smoothies are too thick and not the best.

I just can't afford a vitamix or anything else for that matter…

Wednesday

The sun is still with us here in the UK which means that apart from the showers yesterday morning we have now had about a week and a half of lovely sunshine - woo hoo.



I started the day as usual with my green juice - oranges, grapefruit, celery, spinach and celtuce leaves. Scrummy. A real kick start to the day.

Hey all,



I had initially decided not to enter the Vault this go-around because

I will be in the process of moving...



But against my better judgment, I will be entering the Vault. :)



I will put my best food forward and make this thing happen if it kills me. lol

Pre Vault day 2

Slept great last night. Except for the million times I got up to go to the bathroom (kidneys flushing)

Breakfast-Spinach,strawberry,hemp,clementine and banana smoothie

Did I mention I take D3,Calcium with D3,B complex and a Multi?

Make sure you are all having your Vitamin D's checked. 9 out of 10 people are low.

Part 3-5 of my 5 part raw food seminar

I meant to write earlier but I have been really busy.


The last 3 parts of the class went really well. The menu was kept pretty light, very little nuts. Not like the 2nd class.


In the 3rd class we had created 5 salads and 4 out of 5 were delicious. I discovered I don't like Jicama but the Triple Seaweed Salad and the Hemp Seed Tabbouleh Salad were to die for!

Preparing for 11 weeks in the Vault

I'm so excited about going into the vault.

Tuesday

A client free day today so am torn between working in the office and

getting out in the garden where the sun has come back out after a wet

start.



Day began with my usual green juice and then by the time I had caught up on chores and did some work in the office it was

time for lunch al fresco. Mine was a small greek salad - toms,

So much Kale!!

My Garden Kale is doing wonderful.. with the hot weather it's time to pick and make kale chips.. Does anyone know How long kale chips last.. if kept in airtight container?? I have about 8-10 kale plants and want to stock up on kale chips. I also have big zuchini My son Left it on the plant while my husband and I were gone.. I took one this evening and chopped it up add some flax seed ground, piece of red bell pepper and garlic and little onion, Ground it up and made dolops on the dehydrator…
