Strayed away/Weight Watchers

Hi Everyone,

I haven' been on here for over a month! And yes, I have to admit I was eating some cooked food. I was mostly raw then I got a stomach virus which had me afraid to eat. Then I only trusted cooked food (I haven't had any meat!) so I've been a vegetarian.

Now today, I joined weight watchers and came back. I'm ready to get my life on track again. I'm going to start biking on the weekends and hopefully start hitting the gym on weekdays lol. ( A lot of…

More Progress :)

Made a gorgeous juice today based on a recipe from a Foodie Friday here on RFR :)  I believe it was called, "Sweet Fennel?"

I have to say I added a carrot that regretfully changed the color to something much less beautiful, so no doubt another unimpressive juice to the boyfriend.  Doh!!  Maybe I could get him to try it but I still don't think it's as magical as other juices I've made, although I do LOVE it and it's one of my favorites...…

Some advice

Want and need to eat high/all raw diet. Would I be better going on juice fast first and then settle into high raw or vice versa? Am constantly trying to juice fast as I want to lose some weight but always fail, trying again this week!

Living in the moment and loving it!

I am loving what raw is doing for me...and how easy it is this time.  And loving that it is Spring and warm and there are mangoes and strawberries....after nearly a week of 100% raw I am down 3 pounds, definitely still in cleansing mode, looking sparkly and getting closer to that high pure place that I want to be with my thoughts and emotions.

Feeling better and better. Still tired but I think my body is healing.

I focused on drinking lots of water this week and green smoothies and salads and fruit for snacks. Eating small amounts of cooked food at night but I notice it does not set well with my stomach. That is a clue that my body does not really like it...well except potatoes. I do feel good when I eat them but very sleepy.

Great tip for avoiding temptation...and a lovely new walk

...Tip came from my daughter. I was grumbling about avoiding the junk at work, and she said she'd read about someone who gave up an addiction to alcohol by repeating 'It does not exist for me' whenever he was faced with a glass of the bad stuff.

It really does work! I managed to ignore all of the rubbish at work yesterday. It really wasn't there as far as I was concerned!

2nd week 80 10 10

Our two week experiment with the 80 10 10 diet has come to a close and unfortunately, we

feel better.  We have continued to slim down and have fewer aches and pains, it seems. I say

unfortunately because this means that we would be ill advised to return to our old habits

and would be better off changing.  We do not know yet to what degree we will continue

practicing this method of nutrition.



We eliminated:

    meat

    fish

    dairy

Loving the raw life

oooh....there is so much I would say....but I don't want to jinx myself......but I am at the point where I can really get into the fact that nothing tastes, and I mean NOTHING, nothing tastes as good as raw feels and looks.  I have been 100% raw for less than a week now and already I swear I look 10 years younger than I did last week.  But then last week I also had a cold.  But still, the difference is huge.

Energy/Thought Processes Improving and Body Image and My Boyfriend

THE VICISSITUDES OF BEING RAW

Now isn't that word a mouthful....the vicissitudes.....meaning....

Elimination/Diet, 80-10-10 Bananas, Improvements

Yesterday, my dad was on his way to the store and offered to pick up a few things...I just said, "bananas and greens of any kind!"  It turned out that he went to Whole Foods and got me 4 bunches of greens, a mango, two bunches of bananas, and he wrote me a card!!!  I wrote before that after our big blowout argument the other day he seemed to get the message and we have been getting along ever since.  I thought that was really nice of him... Penni's gift, became my gift to another

What a wonderful resource Raw Food Rehab is!  I was thrilled to be able to receive the "It's Easy Being Green ebook Penni gave away on St. Patrick's Day.  I glanced through it as I rushed through my life. (Four of my daughters began this year by telling me they were pregnant.  One of my girls lost her baby this week...)
