Ok, I made 2 of the recipes already - well the 2nd one is in the dehydrator for a little bit more time (but I licked the bowl). They are both delicious - the fudge is very remenicent of old fashioned fudge, and the oatmeal fig bars are still in the dehydrator, but they look delicious and, like I said, I licked the bowl. YUUUMMMOOOOOOOO I thought as I tucked into my raw dessert last night... it's 'RAW' so I am allowed to eat it..then it hit me.. just because a food is accepted in the raw community doesn't mean it's not fattening and it definitely doesn't mean I am not still overeating and binging on sugar!!

I switched up my morning routine a little the last couple of days. I now have 1/2 a lemon with 1 qt. of green tea. At 11am I have another qt of green tea with chia seeds. My first meal is a smoothie or some flax crackers from whole foods with my my veggie nut burgers. I've decided that I need to cook -- and stay -- at least one meal ahead. Smoothies always taste the very best when fresh-made. Ditto on the fancier salads. I have made my original juice feast goal of 30 days! I couldn't even have imagined this on day one, and now I am a full 30 days down. It has gotten easy...well...easier. Assessing the situation at this point, I have definitely decided to continue with the juice feast. I plan on going another 30 days and reevaluating how I feel at that point.

Yesterday I woke up with a brick in my stomach. At first, I thought it was from eating too late (a bad habit of mine) but as the day went on, my health sunk further and further down until I ended up in the ER!
I had chills, fever, INTENSE body aches and I couldn't even keep water down! So after 2 IVs in the ER, I came home with a diagnosis of the FLU.

the bad news, my mom was diagnosed with a 4 mm cancer growth in a breast duct....
the good news is that it is so small and diagnosed early that the drs can do something like this....
