Got a bit off track on journaling. A dear friend passed away this past week. Very sad. My friend in Chicago passed away yesterday morning.
Wish I could have helped her more. I will miss her greatly.

The weather has been really cold here, and so we have been at home a lot for the past several weeks. I have found it nice to have the time to focus on food preparation. I've finally gotten into doing some fermenting which I've been meaning to do forever. I made a type of sauerkraut, and made some cashew yogurt this week. I have the idea to try fermenting things I don't like to eat raw - like sweet potatoes and green beans.

I like breaking my focus into 90 day intervals, and then taking a few days to sort of have a break and regroup.
So this is day 1 and I am refocusing on my health goals. I really don't make new years resolutions, I only set goals. I feel like that is more productive for me and i think of them in shorter time frames. Although I do have long range and medium range goals, that I break down into weekly and daily goals. So I am making changes again. This is going to finish up my second health quest of 90 intervals. I had thought I would extend it now I am thinking I will just begin a new 90 days beginning tomorrow. I have not been able to stick with what I wanted on this one because of low funds and having to eat carbs I really did not want to eat but were cheap and so this time since I have a better job, I can eat more greens and do low carb again.

I am so thankful that I will be down to one job in two weeks! Monday I am back to the gym with my kids on board! It is more fun with others in involved in similar goals. They are also making an effort to eat better as well. I love it!
