So I'm starting the 28 day cleanse tomorrow. I am SO super excited! I was able to get all kinds of healthy food at the store yesterday. I just turned 36 yesterday, and I'm ready for this to be my best year yet. *grin* I have lots of lemons for my lemon water of a morning, so no more coffee for me for awhile. And I have lots of great frozen fruit for smoothies, a couple of coconuts, etc etc. I should have enough to last me at least this week if not for a week and a half. So I have no excuses.…

Hello Raw Rehabers... so I have been missing in action for a little bit. I have fallen of the wagon big time... things have been crazy and I couldn't even really focus on myself. Well, things are starting to get back to normal which will allow me to get back on track. I also realized that even though $&!% happens, life goes on. And no matter how rough things get, I still have to take the time and take care of myself. Life will always happen and things get busy and crazy... and through all…

Today I felt week but I knew it was my own doing. I am on day 5 of MC and I haven't been drinking near the amount of lemonade that I need to consume daily. I have only been consuming about 4 servings...EEK!! No wonder!!
Tomorrow I am making it my small day goal to consume 6-8 servings because I am active and need to get my strength! Tomorrow is my lifting day also and I definitely need extra energy for that!
A new month is upon us tomorrow! YAY!!
Also for my own…

I'll give a bit more of an intro. of myself in another post, but just wanted to get my blog off the ground so to speak.
I've ordered my copy of Penni's book and hopefully it will be here towards the middle of the week.
Her book will be my first raw book of any kind, cookbook or otherwise, so I'm really looking forward to getting it and devouring it, hahahahaha.
I'm also looking forward to meeting some of the other "Cleansers" that are along for this ride.
Oh and…

I scheduled my first colonic in years today because I am feeling like I need it right now. I have been green juicing alot and my skin is starting to sag and dry out from the inside out, and I am not as regular as I should be, albeit I am only about 75 percent raw right now. So I was shocked when he told me that his raw food clients were the least healthy of any other clients that he sees. He is advocating ayurvedic lifestyle, I don't resonate, but I did not argue with him. I have never seen or…

This past week wasn't the best for me, so I've begun juice feasting a day early. I just needed to reset and refocus. I feel great so far, albeit cold. Every morning, after drinking my green juice, I can't seem to get warm. Some dry skin brushing and a hot shower might just do the trick. Otherwise, I'm planning on heading out into the snow storm to buy more juicing supplies.
After drinking my lemon water (which I heated) this morning, I made two juices:
1) 1/2 head kale,…

I'm SO psyched for tomorrow. I've had to eat gluten for my biopsy tomorrow. I should be out of there by 9am and ready for the cleanse!
I've spent the majority of the day on
rawdawgrory.com I am so excited! He's infectious, his mom is a DOLL, the kids, his wife. It's just amazing to see them living the raw dream and to watch mom heal - what a great attitude she has.
I'm ready to journal my adventure and experience the…

I want to shout it to the mountain tops! I spent almost 2 hours in the snow yesterday with my 16 yr. old daughter. We shoveled the driveway and built a snow fort. She was ready to go inside before I was! Normally, I am the one that gets tired and wants to give up.
Since joining the Vault and RFR, I have so much energy! Where is all this energy coming from? As I have gotten (ahem) older, I started noticing the decrease in energy and strength. I use to love working in my yard (flower…

Hi all
Its been a good week.
I've already told you of my successful visit to the hospital.
On friday I resolved another more personal matter that might have meant me changing my diet away from raw.
Yesterday I was taking my lunchtime medication when I realised i didn't need the pain killers that I was taking out of habbit. Previously in the week I stopped taking an antacid (another habbit) after reading the discussion on cider vinegarand so far had no detrimental…

Tonight my husband and I went to Des Moines to go to a couple whole foods stores before we were to meet up with a friend of mine. Got a few things that I needed for when I'm done with the cleanse..hemp seeds, olive oil, syrup for the cleanse, and some smoked salt.
We met up with my friend and her boyfriend at the SuperBull...bull riding :) Ha! It was fun! Nothing my husband and I would seek out on our own! Of course everyone there had popcorn..I still want the REAL stuff bad!! :(…

So I'm a little crazy about anything sweet or sodium based A.K.A. Junk food! Whenever I have something salty I soon want something that is sweet...and vice versa. Has anyone overcome this to the extent that all they want now is raw food? I guess I'm just wondering if it really goes away while eating more raw or if it just gets easier as you go or what. Any thoughts?
That said, I'm really looking forward to this 28 day cleanse! Maybe it will prove to be the answer to all of life's…

I had my 4th baby on December 16th, 2009. He's a cutie if I do say so myself, and things are starting to get some what normal at our house again. But I haven't been feeling all that well, c-section aside.
I've had gestational diabetes with at least 3 of my pregnancies that were detected. They never detected it with my first pregnancy, but suspect it was there because I develop it late. Any ways, towards the end of this one I was feeling pretty yucky, and not just because I was huge.…

Hello! :)))
I haven't written for some time as I had so many things to do. But I prepared some raw food and soon I'll share the pictures and recipes! ;)
I must say that in the beginning I didn't like the green smoothies I prepared. It's not that I don't like greens. I love salads! Maybe the reason was I put too much greens and just one banana. I didn't like the taste of banana + greens. So, I decided to try another fruit and to put more of it and I tried kiwi. Again, I put…

Today was much better than the past two days have been. I ordered a vitamix and a spiral slicer!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!! The timing is great because I will be at the end of my cleanse when they arrive! First thing I am going to make is banana ice cream...mmmmmmmm. Of course I will also make some veggie noodles with the slicer :)
Tonight my husband and I were invited to play games at a church in a neighboring town. A lady that is in one of the aerobics classes I help teach invited us…

I have to say that this has definitely been an experience that is more than life changing for me. I have been on the weight roller coaster for about three years not with my ups being higher than downs. Adding raw food as the main part of my diet had been the best "gimmick" that I have seen to date.(I say gimmick, being sarcastic about all the commercials that promise weight loss by taking a pill) I am down 16 pounds and I am feeling other differences in my body. I used to drink a pot of coffee…

Wow---I had an
enormous setback this week at work. Dreams were crushed! Plans were smashed beyond repair! I'm kind of one to stew on things that go wrong for a time, so I'm just now reaching the point where I can let go and move on. My lack of weight loss this week, as documented in The Vault, can be tied directly to this fact.
What it will take is a reshuffling of my near future plans. I need to accept that my worklife will have to go another direction.
The 28 Day…

traveling can be difficult
especially when you are not in control.
i am at the mercy of others, ones who do not have my interests high on their priority list.
so yesterday i finally got that ride to the supermarket
and bought $40 worth of veggies and friuts

to go with the few dehydrated things i brought.
i did make a big pot of veggie soup (yes cooked, but just veggies in this land of perpetual meat)
it has gotten me…
