Clearing Space

Earlier this year my husband and I decided that we would make some improvements to our home.  We've purchased and are having installed some maple flooring.  We are also having the house painted inside, from top to bottom.  It's going to look beautiful. We also decided to do something else.  We have decided to do a major cleanup of our home.  We both have been acquiring quite a bit of stuff for some time.  About a week ago, I picked up some moving boxes and I am pretending to move.  We are going…See More

Mostly, I really want to be exposed to people who 'get it'. I have an incredible amount of support from my husband, who has no interest in doing this himself. Outside of that, and what support I get online, none of my friends or family are particularly supportive.

I decided to try some juicing today.  This morning I made a green juice that had pineapple, apples, cucumber, aloe, lemon and lime.  This afternoon I've made a carrot and celery based juice with red pepper and lemon juice.  Reminding my gentle readers that I'm producing juice for two (my DIL is juicing as well), this is a lot of work!  I have yet to reach the coveted two quart point, rather I seem to be…

Does Easing Into It Make It Easier?

Posted on August 14, 2011 at 9:15am 5 Comments

I'm so crazy to start my juice feast, I'm just going to start easing myself into it today.  I'm thinking I'll do a couple of days of green smoothie/fruit/salad and then a day or two of juice/green smoothie/fruit.  I'll get some experimenting done with the nut milk bags.  I'll get to start experimenting with flavor profiles.

This Really Does Something For Me

Posted on August 11, 2011 at 9:01am 2 Comments

Vacation went pretty nicely (aside from figuring I'm allergic to oysters - eeewwww).  I wasn't as highly raw as I'd have liked to have been, but I did eat fruit and a salad every day.  When I got home, though, I felt terrible.  My face was puffy and I was up five pounds on top of being up about ten pounds (I suspect meds I've been taking for bursitis, but who knows).

The only things you can control are:

how you think and speak, what you do:  what you eat, what you drink, when you move your body, when you sleep, how you will respond to any situation.

Master these simple things positively and you will be amazed at the changes that will come into your life!  Let this be your year to SHINE!!
