I have one of Hoopgirl's videos, it is an excellent one for learning the more fun dance stuff. The link I sent you to hoopnotica, that photo I believe, is the hoop all pulled apart, it disassembles. They sell a harness thing that wraps them all together so you can take it wherever you go.
I didn't like the weighted hoop. It was actually a gift from my Aunt, who used one. It makes your stomach feel itchy and I really don't use it long. I loaned it to someone a year ago and haven't seen it since, lol....I think the same girl has my Hoopgirl and hoopnotica instruction DVD's as well. Guess I should give her a call.
If you like to dance, you are going to love this. - Have fun! - :) Tanja
Hi birdy27....I looked at that hoop link you had on the hooping group. It is kind of neat, except if you really got into it, you wouldn't be able to do the tricks/hoop dance with that, I don't think. Here's a link to the Hoopnotica hoop I started with. They say it comes apart easily, but I didn't found that to be so. But if you are tight on space, a really nice option.
