I knew things would change as I turned the big 50 this year, however, Wow I was surprised to find out yesterday that I have not one but TWO kidney stones in both of my kidneys. Anyone know what to take, what to eat to blast them away? besides water?
Blessings, Wanda

I sometimes complain to my husband about finding good fresh produce here in Tulsa, but I admit Im spoiled having lived in Houston for many years. He loves it that I can make any salad taste good, even if I say we don't have anything. My favorite thing to do is to use up everything we have, which I'll admit, it gets pretty surprising sometimes. What doesn't go in our salad might go in a juice and then I'll justify making a trip to Whole Foods since I didn't waist any food. I could live at…

My son came home this weekend and wanted to go out to eat tonight. I let him pick the place, since I'd rather eat at home. :) I honestly don't like going out to eat. He picked Gengas Grill, a place where you load up your bowl with meat, veggies, seasonings and then they stir fry it with oil…

My maiden name is Baker and I'm embarassed to admit that I have a habit of burning up blenders, mixers, etc. This past weekend I burned up my vitamix trying to make thai coconut almond yogart. I'm dying for my smoothies. Can anyone tell me any thoughts on the Blendtec? I think the only difference I see is the warranty? Thankful for any advice or thoughts.
THANKS! Hugs, Wanda
Penni said… 1 garlic clove, coarsely chopped
½ cup almonds, coarsely chopped (could use pine nuts, pistachios or cashews)
1 bunch (about ½ pound) green or lacinato kale leaves, roughly chopped
1 small handful mint leaves
1 lemon, juiced
1 teaspoon sea salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
¼ cup raw, cold pressed extra virgin olive oil (I have also used 1 small avocado instead)
Add garlic and nuts to food processor or blender. Pulse until finely blended. Add raw kale, mint, salt, pepper and nutritional yeast and pulse. Drizzle in oil and blend, scraping down sides until well blended.
More like staying inside but have found some
coconut water at a store here which is great for rehydrating.
Tomato salad later with some ginger dressing.
Nice to know ya!
