I have always been passionate about food and my parents share that I had a “sophisticated palate and was a gourmet foodie” from very early on in life. Due to some fairly dramatic health challenges, I started searching for natural ways to improve my symptoms and began to explore alternative healing, diet and lifestyle changes. It was 10 years ago when I became enlightened to the vibrancy and healing aspects of raw food, changing my diet nearly overnight, and marveled that the majority of my health symptoms disappeared within days. Jumping into this way of eating with both feet quickly re-educated my palate, which ultimately created an overall reality shift for me.
My current approach is a diet of real, whole, fresh food and eating and living this way has brought forth a beautiful perspective on the culinary world for me. Honestly, the food was simply the catalyst that opened the door to what has become a most exciting journey of learning, growing, healing and sharing.
My personal story of life transformation was first published in super-model Carol Alt‘s book, The Raw 50, and has since been shared in a variety of publications, online journals and websites. I’m blessed to be the author of a number of books, including Raw Food Cleanse (Ulysses Press 2010).
In addition to being the creator of Real Food Rehab, I'm now working as the Director of Tulsa Oklahoma's largest farmers' market group, which is what keeps me most busy these days. I consider myself a social architect, as my passion is fueled by helping to connect others and building a sense of community for health conscious real food enthusiasts. I'm passionate about helping to inspire others to live their best life possible.
