"You definitely can juice them, but make sure to remove the seeds. The seeds have hairs on them that can irritate the throat (kids use the seeds sometimes as itching powder, that says it all...). Another option is to make sun tea, steeped overnight…"

"Hi Gisele, good question! As far as I know, where I live(Belgium) there is one toxic grass species, but it is so rare that you'll only find it occasionally in nature reservations. I know in the US there have been some cases of cattle poisoning…"

"Diana Blu: I've done it before and it worked out fine.  Just always make sure you pick the young tops, before the plant blooms (make sure to watch carefully for the flower, it's not that big or colorful)."
