- I have type 2 diabeties and low thyroid. I don't watch what I eat and I feel like my body is falling apart. I don't want to be tired all the time and suffer all the aches and pains. This is my second time ging raw and really want to stay with it. My biggest obstacle is that my husband and children won't be raw with me and my mother in law, who lives with us, does most of the cooking. That was my hardest hurdle last time and I am sure this time too. This time I am looking for support outside of my family to keep me going.

I'm looking forward to Raw Balance

Well finally it is almost time! I get paid Friday so I can finally sign up for Raw Balance. I know this is exactly what I need. I have been having a lot of stress at work and at home, and that brings on the comfort food cravings. I am really looking forward to this 11 week initiative. My biggest fear right now is that it will fill up right before I can enroll!

I haven't been around on raw food rehab much lately, but that is because I was stressing too much and going through another real tired phase. It will probably happen again, but I am feeling a bit more comfortable with everything right now.

Wheat grass is a very interesting thing. I haven't had a lot of it, but find that I just love it. I had a wheat grass shot this morning and again I was struck by the fact the smell gives me two conflicting emotions. The first one is excitement, because the green smell just makes my mouth water. Then right after that, I think yuck, this is awful, because the smell reminds me of just mowed lawn, which instinct tells me that I'm not suppose to drink. Very strange.

Gave in to my cravings

Today I was six days raw, and starting to feel better. The problem was that I was also having a terrible craving. I wanted fatty, salty food. I was good all day, drinking a green smoothy and lunching on some vegetables. I could feel in the pit of my stomach that I was craving something. My mind took over and I realized I wanted a cheese burger and fries. Blend: Two oranges, huge handful of baby spinach, liquid Stevia to taste for sweetness, ½ teaspoon vanilla if you like, almond milk for my liquid and flavor. Add ice or serve over ice. Enjoy!
