OK, so I'm NOT a failure!

Posted on November 21, 2009 at 1:08pm 10 Comments

Once again I am reminded why an individual needs Rehab. So many fellow rehabbers (is that a word?) stopped by with encouragement and a loving kick in the pants to let me know that I've not failed in my raw/health journey. I've decided to not even look at my cooked foods as a stumble... just part of my path.

I appreciate all the suggestions. I know I sound like a broken record, but I still don't have a lot of food prep tools. I just recently acquired a juicer (sort of a medium quality… Continue

The word is 'failure'

I've been sooo excited with my husband's decision to eat vegan/vegetarian. It has been such a huge commitment on his part. It was HIS idea this time and he is really working the plan. My oldest and youngest child are ditching the gross, processed foods and meats... there is no dairy in the house, no eggs in the fridge... I was and AM just thrilled... But then it hit me...

I'm eating just like them. Now I know this sounds stupid... that I wouldn't realize I'm eating less and less… Continue

Thirty-one Percent!!!

Posted on October 30, 2009 at 6:44pm 4 Comments

Today was my complimentary session with a personal trainer at the gym. The session started out well... questions about what I wanted to attain in my fitness journey, what was my diet like (he was impressed!), questions about how many times I would come to the gym per week... but then "it" happened. He got out this little machine that you hold with both hands and it measures your body fat.

Can you say, "Holy Oh My Goodness"!!!???

Thirty-one percent... 31!!!! A third of me… Continue

The Bathroom is Clean a.k.a. Need Time Management Skills!

Posted on October 28, 2009 at 12:46pm 8 Comments

Since becoming obsessed with food and health (yes, I used the word obsessed on purpose) I have spent hours and hours and hours on the computer and with books. I've read and re-read countless opinions and when they all started to blur together I moved to YouTube and started watching lectures and such on raw foods, living foods, and vegan vs. vegetarian.

Then I started becoming a doer and not a reader only. I've been in the kitchen and in the gym. It's great! But then.... (play low,… Continue

Click Here if you are ready for a BREAKTHROUGH!!

"All personal breakthroughs being with a change in beliefs.

So how do we change?

The most effective way is to get your brain to associate massive pain to the old belief.

You must feel deep in your gut that not only has this belief cost you pain in the past,

but it's costing you in the present &, ultimately, can only bring you pain in the future.

Then you must associate tremendous pleasure to the idea of adopting a new, empowering belief.”

~Tony Robbins
