About Me: (at least a couple of sentences; ex: family, interests, hobbies, favorite quote, personal mission statement, etc
I'm a new Mom of two now (son #2 was born on Valentines Day, 2010) and I love learning about diet, exercise and the facinating capabilities of the body. I am a firm believer that it's not just about how many calories we consume, but the type of calories consumed. I try to consume very few processed foods or animal products for many reasons...Health being a major one although there are many others. On top of that, RAW just makes sense!
When I am older, I don’t want to rely on prescriptions to be “healthy”. I want to be in control of my health and I know it is possible through a healthy diet and daily exercise. To me, it's not how long I'll live but the quality of life I'll have as long as I am here.
How did you hear about Raw Food Rehab?
A friend =]
What percentage of your current diet would you estimate is raw foods? (this answer many change over time)
25 - 35% (I'm new at this but hoping to increase my % soon =] )

OMG! I'm the same way when I get together with my family. I think it's just because things always revolve around food, and some of my family is overweight. We just like good food and desserts! But why can't we do that with more healthy food?! I'm also going back home for two weeks in August. I think it should be a little easier this time since my mom has also been working on losing weight.... she's down to like 139! I'm not supposed to be heavier than my mom, darn it all! LOL I plan to bring veggie and/or fruit trays to family gatherings while home. That way I can still munch and not feel “left out”. Maybe I’ll even bring those cookie balls since everyone will probably like them. I’m going to try my hardest to eat well! It’s all in our head… we can do it!
The cleanse is going well. I thought I would have a worse headache today. But I really feel great. A couple times I felt a dull headache maybe coming, but nothing came of it either time. So far so good! Fresh juices are definitely tastier, but I find this easier since juicing is time consuming, and this is much cheaper! :)
