"It's funny. After I posted this I thought, duh, of course she knows to bring her own lunch.  I just meant that I carry EVEN more food now and it helps.   Bananas make me feel sick as I have candida and lyme and food sensitivities.…"

"I do like to explain it, especially when one girl asked me if I only ate fruit. That's usually what I carry for breakfast, along with my strange colored juices. :) I explained that I was sick of feeling tired and bloaty all the time."

"Good for you being prepared for success.  Sometimes I bring my own food plus extra to share like you--works well to ensure that we have enough of our kind of food. :)"

Out and About

My family and I went to visit my husband's grandma today. I knew this would be a lesson in temptation, so I packed my own food. I included kale, carrots, a little lettuce, colored peppers, cherries, strawberries, blueberries and some grapes from my neighbors vine. I was hoping my food would not be an insult to his grandma. It wasn't and I had packed enough to share. This made me wonder what everyone else does, when you are out and about at family's houses and such. Sometimes my co workers look…See More

Keeping it Up

I have the afternoon sleepies! I think I am going to go whip me up a juice, maybe carrot, beets, apples and pineapple? I hear carrots are good for energy. So about my journey to Awesome, I have added the nuts to my work lunch and it really does help keep me full. I usually eat two bananas, a good bit of nuts, blueberries, apples and strawberries for breakfast. It doesn't seem like a lot, but I have good size helpings and I feel so full after I eat. I think when I said I was starving by my…See More

"I stay very high raw but it has never been my intention to be 100 percent. A nice mug of warm vegetable broth or soup has helped me stay high raw on my days of temptation. Also, one steamed sweet potato with nothing but a little pink salt has been a…"

"The same thing used to happen to me.  What helps is just to bring a full lunch with you, in addition to nuts and fruit and stuff.  And yes, I know how sick of those nuts you can get by the end of the day. What also used to happen is…"

Determined to Feel Awesome

I am beginning to realize that my food choices have more of an affect on me than I originally thought. I am now determined to hold myself accountable starting now. I will settle for nothing less than foods that will make me feel awesome! I figure if I blog about my journey to feeling awesome I will be more motivated and have a little support, too. So, my first dilemma is how to make it through my work day eating the right way. Since I work with food and stay super busy, I find it hard not to…See More
