Muscadine Grapes

Posted on August 25, 2012 at 10:38am 2 Comments

Just wondering if any one has used these.  My wife's family in Mississippi has them all them time and the make all kinds of stuff with them but they do not grow here in Oklahoma. The outer skin is pretty tough so not sure what you can do with them raw but I just blended some in a smoothie with spinach bananas and kiwi and its really good.  Does any have any ideas on other uses or have even heard of this grape. Apparently they have a lot of health benefits.

Towards the end I noticed that the weight loss was slowing down and figured that I need to start moving. This should be easy because I feel ten time better than I did at the turn of the New Year. My question is for those that workout 3 to 5 times a week, do you consume quite a bit more than when you are not working out. I know that you burn more so your going to eat a little more but I… Continue

Ok, been at it for about three weeks now!

I have to say that this has definitely been an experience that is more than life changing for me. I have been on the weight roller coaster for about three years not with my ups being higher than downs. Adding raw food as the main part of my diet had been the best "gimmick" that I have seen to date.(I say gimmick, being sarcastic about all the commercials that promise weight loss by taking a pill) I am down 16 pounds and I am feeling other differences in my body. I used to drink a pot of coffee… Continue

Hello to you as well. I have been a vegetarian for 3 years now but eating raw is new for me and I am just beginning to try it. Seems like a lot of help is available here at the RFR though...I'll keep you posted.
