Juicing Wild Grass

Posted on June 3, 2013 at 3:11pm 6 Comments

Does anyone here juice wild grass? I just heard about doing it today but I have been hearing about eating wild edibles for awhile now. As soon as I got home today I went out and cut some grass and juiced it. I have never had wheatgrass juice before, so I have nothing to compare it to. What else is growing out there that I can take advantage of? Any thought?

Changing Eye Color

Posted on April 6, 2013 at 10:14am 11 Comments

I'm not sure what color my eyes were when I was born but my mom said that they were hazel when I was a little girl. Since as far back as I can remember they have been brown, they are lighter or darker some days but they are always brown. I am the only brown eyed person in my house. We have 3 with blue eyes, 1 with hazel and me with brown. When I took the kids and myself in for eye exams the doctor told my youngest that he had blue eyes but that they had "brown freckles" on them making them…

Sugar Addiction

Posted on February 15, 2013 at 10:00pm 3 Comments

Recently I learned that I am addicted to sugar. I read an article entitled "Sugar is More Addictive than Cocaine" and it helped me to know that I am not the only one with this issue. I am trying to teach my kids how addictive sugar is and how it can take over your life, I know that it has mine. I was raised with a lot of sugar in my diet and very little fresh fruits and veggies. What little fruit was normally made into pies and the veggies were cooked to death and very often with a sauce…

Why Am I So Tired?

Posted on November 17, 2012 at 6:51pm 21 Comments

I seem to hear and read all the time how people have so much energy when they start eating raw, and I did have more energy for awhile after I started eating mostly raw, but it just seems like I am tired almost all of the time again. Some days are good but so many more are not good at all. I have been telling myself that my body is trying to heal itself of all of the harm I have done to it up until now but that does not always help. Has anyone else had this problem?
