A little confused

Posted on December 3, 2012 at 4:45am 13 Comments

I have been doing pretty well lately.  I get up every morning  and go to the gym from 5=6 and I drink green smoothies for lunch and breakfast and a huge salad for supper.   Occasionally I will eat things  like special foods for events that are not raw but I am pretty picky and usually do not eat very much at all.

Yesterday I went to a restaurant with my children.  I usually just have tea or water and was planning that since I had a huge green smoothie right before I left.  My…

raw desserts

Posted on November 24, 2012 at 12:42pm 5 Comments

So excited- I brought a raw dessert to 2 different Thanksgiving meals and everyone loved them..   I made a jumble berry upside down cake ( Jennifer Cornbleet's recipe) and then I just make an cinnamon apple upside down cake using the same idea-  It was so easy and so quick- I couldn't use the food processor because of a missing piece so I made the crust in my blentec- nuts, coconut and date-Itprobably was a little more processed than it should have been but no one…

foods that help the lungs?

Posted on September 2, 2012 at 6:23am 11 Comments

Just recovering from a bout of pneumonia!  Not fun- after the meds are gone, I want to really start focusing on getting my lungs and breathing completely healed.   I googled and found that making sure to get enough potassium is good and that carrot juice, ginger and garlic are all good things for the lungs-  I am taking lots of the recommended herbs, lobelia, licorice, ALJ, nettles, ginseng.

Just wondering if anyone has more suggestions of things that have helped you to strengthen and…

The only things you can control are:

how you think and speak, what you do:  what you eat, what you drink, when you move your body, when you sleep, how you will respond to any situation.

Master these simple things positively and you will be amazed at the changes that will come into your life!  Let this be your year to SHINE!!
