I don't have any close friends that are into their health to the extreme I am so I guess it's like a new friendship.

Hi Cindy: Congratulations on your new Vitamix! You are going to have so much fun. The only advice I would have regarding dehydrators would be to buy bigger rather than smaller. I’ve read so many reviews of folks that purchased the Excalibur four tray and later wished they had purchased the nine tray or larger. If I were in the market for a new dehydrator, I would definitely research what is updated. They make the newer ones with timers and who knows what is available now. Happy Hunting : )
Hi Cindy! I don't know any raw foodies around either. It would be really great to get together soon. Maybe we could go to a raw cafe? Have you heard of the Agape International Spiritual Center in Culver City? I go there and they have a live foods group. It would be fun to go together. I haven't been yet because I do not want to go by myself. I have had a pretty traumatizing background with raw. I tended to find the militant crowd who's introductions always went something like, "Hi, I'm raw Sally as in 100% raw. What percentage of raw are you?" I'm so happy to now find so many loving, accepting, life affirming raw fooders. I found out about Raw Food Rehab from one:) Anyway, maybe we can go to one of the raw potlucks at Agape or go to a Cafe together sometime.
Thanks for adding me as a friend, Cindy. This is one of my favorite combinations for making a green smoothie. Blend: Two oranges, huge handful of baby spinach, liquid Stevia to taste for sweetness, ½ teaspoon vanilla if you like, almond milk for my liquid and flavor. If you don’t use Stevia, use what you enjoy. Add ice or serve over ice. Enjoy! It reminds me of the sugary Orange Julius my children would buy out at the Mall. Have a great day : )
