Hi. My partner and I are going up to Boston in November to see Noel Gallagher and the High Flying Birds AND we were hoping to hit up a Raw Food Restaurant while there. I have found the Organic Garden Cafe and Revitalize online...just wondering if there are any others that are missing and if anyone's experienced these two places and has any advice? Wow, I can't believe how time flies. It's hard to believe that this time last year I was holding my newborn baby girl for the very first time. What a wonderful experience it has been and how grateful we are to have been blessed with this little lady.
I have noticed a few people express worry on their blogs about pursuing a raw food lifestyle when it comes to children and things like growth so I figured I'd share my experience with my little one to help put others at ease…

Just got a lovely four hours of sleep due to my little one receiving her eye teeth :(. Has anyone had any luck with natural remedies such as cloves?

Does anyone have a positive experience to share about using a healthy diet rather than vaccinations? I am not aiming to sway anyone's opinion on the matter, just looking for some support from someone who has been there.
Remember, YOU are sooo worth it! : )

Because this will be the 10th and final Initiative offered through Raw Food Rehab, we're going to pull out all of the stops. A leadership team has been assembled that is over the top and truly amazing!

Eva said… hey there! i always combine kale smoothies with OJ or pineapple....and then almond milk (shhh i buy mine--with vanilla flavor, but i am sure you could flavor your own homemade with vanilla extract)...then a banana and some blueberries.....
this is usually my girls pick-me-up from school and give-me--nutrition and energy--pleaze mom!--smoothie....my girls are drained...so i know the banana helps reboot potassium levels, kale gives them protein and iron, and i can't tell you how it holds them over for afternoon activities, until we get home from dinner...
in the morning i make a juice-smoothie...i juice grapefruit, a ton of carrots, an apple, and blend it all with almost a full bag of spinach--that's the on-the-way in the morning hydration and wake-me up drink (that on top of a good breakfast)

i really admire your level of understanding of raw foods at your age and you ability to live it with your family....
i started veggies really early with my two girls (10 & 8)and i have no problem with them at all....it was a struggle to teach them to love it all, but now i look back and am so happy....when their friends come over and don't even want a tomato or can barely eat green beans or pick at broccoli, my girls sit there in amazement at how people can not like veggies....
i made all my baby food and have been cooking & uncooking since they could eat....it pays off!
now they drink wheat grass, kale smoothies (a whole bunch of kale, not just a couple of leaves) without any comment whatsoever....
so you are giving your child an amazing gift : )
