"you should take a look at a detox, because raw foods in itself may not help remove your arthritis. You will for sure feel better, and it is a great diet after you have healed your most serious problems
You need to pull out the acids in your…"
"Wow that is incredible, and I am so happy for you. It only gets better as your body transitions to more healthy cells. I think our SAD diets has filled our bodies with inflammation, and pain is the result. Time to remove all foods that hurt…"
"I've been there sweetie, it's tough, because we tend to imagine stuff in our heads that isn't there. Denise said it perfectly! just because he comes in a pretty package, doesn't mean what's inside doesn't stink…"
"I would add some meditation to your yoga practice, and get out in the sun when you can. You'd be amazed how healing it can be. You may want to look up' Robert Morse ND' on Youtube. He is a healer/detox specialist and his…"
"your new hair sounds awesome! that's something I would love to do too, maybe one day I will be daring enough to do it :-D
coffee is one of my fave things, so even though I will eventually be more raw, I can't see giving it up completely. I…"
"no guilt allowed here, lol!
I see this as a transition, as you incorporate more raw foods into your diet, your body will let go of the addictions to the bad stuff. It's definitely a process, but it sounds like you are doing great, as you said…"
"Leah I can't say it better than these ladies have already said. You are not eating enough, and by juicing, it's passing so quickly through your system. Go crazy with the fruits and veggies, the weight will come off. I do the same…"
"Lyza sorry I got your name wrong in my previous comment, but as I finished sending my comment, I remembered something else, that supposedly can help with painful arthritis conditions. Oil pulling.
One of the blogs on the side, is talking about it,…"
"lyze I'm sorry you're in so much pain. From what I have been studying about detox, arthritis means you have acids systematically throughout your body. I understand it is one of the harder things to 'cure' because it is all…"
"you're not a geek, you're smart! I don't think steaming would take the veggies over 115 degrees, but you never know. The more raw the better. Have you tried steamed sweet potatoes? had no idea you could steam them, and…"
"I just had steamed cauliflower tonight :-)
I keep it to a minimum as well, probably same as you , or maybe a couple minutes less. As long as it's not boiled in water and is only lightly steamed, I don't see how you would lose any…"
"Peggy I'm not too sure why either but I just finished watching another video from Dr. Morse regarding detox, and he said you do not want to drink lots of water in an overly acidic body because you will bloat up. I've heard the dangers…"
"Peggy please be careful with water, if your body is filled with acid, you do not want to drink tons of water, you are better off getting it from your fruits. The watermelon idea is a great one, watermelon is very good at pulling at your lymph,…"
"one step at a time is all you have to do. Don't worry about the weight gain, your body will stabilize. If you focus on eating fruits all day, then a big salad at night, the weight will start dropping off, even if you eat what you think is large…"
About Me: (at least a couple of sentences; ex: family, interests, hobbies, favorite quote, personal mission statement, etc
hi everyone, I just recently discovered the 'raw' food diet. A few weeks ago I was on youtube looking for kale recipes, and came across some raw ones...well that lead to more and more raw food recipes, and before you knew it, I was intrigued by what I was finding out. It's like everything made sense to me. This lifestyle fits in with my beliefs about modern agriculture industry, and how it is making the populations sicker and sicker. As well, I no longer want to be responsible for the suffering of any living creature. I'm already feeling pressure from family and friends who think I am crazy, but I am determined to walk this path.
Other than this, I am a single gal, who works full time, and is an artist part time :-)

I love reading recipe's as I am new to this, and getting advice. I also enjoy reading about others' journey to a more raw diet. This is not an easy thing to do in our society- especially where I come from, so I look forward to being among like minded folks.
