About Me: (at least a couple of sentences; ex: family, interests, hobbies, favorite quote, personal mission statement, etc
My interest in the link between food and health dates back to when my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and lymphoma in 2003. My raw food journey began after reading Chris Karr's book ‘Crazy Sexy Diet’ and hearing Karen Knowler speak. As I have learned more about raw vegan food, I have become increasingly interested in preparing healthy food for family and friends and creating a career in the fast-growing world of raw living foods and nutrition.
It is with my newfound passion and energy that I feel compelled to merge my lifestyle with my career. Being a self starter with a strong sense of compassion and social responsibility as well as entrepreneurial skills and experience in the food and beverage industry, it seems only natural to me to read one book at a time and attend classes to become a Raw Food Teacher and Chef and certified Health, Nutrition and Wellness Counselor. I intend to use what I learn to help many other people to be as healthy as they can be and feel amazing and happy with themselves.
