You know me. I'm the one that says they'll do better next time. I'm the one that says I'll start doing better tomorrow. Yeah, I'll exercise next week too. Well, the time is now and I'm going to do it. No more putting off till another day. I will do be the best I can. I deserve that much. I am going places and doing things. I need health on my side. I'm doing this for my son and I'm doing this for ME.

What dietary interests do you have? (clean eating, vegetarian, vegan, paleo, weight loss, etc?)

Recipes, fitness, encouragement, inspiration. I hope I can encourage and eventually inspire other too, because I'm tired of this bull and ready to take action.

I have been thinking lately about doing a green smoothie feast. The more I add these smoothies into my daily life, the more that I feel convinced that I can do this, because I just love them. I am mostly writing this in blog format in hopes that I will find others here who have done this kind of feast. I'm not really sure where to find the best info on how to go about doing this sort of feast properly so that I get the right amount of nutrition.

Mirror Mirror On The Wall...

At my weight of 310, I've been avoiding full length mirrors for a long time. Even after I'd lost 60 lbs in a year I still continued to avoid them. My philosophy was to just love myself as I was, no matter what size I was, which is good, but I also did this without looking at my body. So recently I decided I wanted a full length mirror, since I was no longer losing weight (at least I've not gained any)! I asked on my local freecycle and was offered one. I think that in Winter, doing those fasts too long is too hard (financially too) small ones are great, so reach for the bananas in the freezer mix with some frozen berries, make yourself good ice cream if you crave comfort food!!! of don't eat this too gold it is like a cream...delicious!!! Hang in there Kathleen!!!

How are you doing Kathleen? I have stopped the green smoothies all day but still have one (sometimes I will use it for lunch as it is sooooooooo convenient) but now I eat raw and some cooked vegetables. The temperature as gone back to normal, and it feels nice.

I was only going to do that for a week but I messed up one day so I will do it all this week-end +Monday and then I really really must loose weight too...but I find it really hard right. I have roughly 60lbs t loose. I had a bad year and put on a lot of wiehgt silly me and now I have a hard time loosing it. Anyway, that smoothie week was a great idea of yours and I thank you again for it. Eating raw for me is great, I feel good on it but I must admit that in winter it is not easy, pricy (I live on an island and everything in winter comes know what I mean) so I have to be careful and eat salads...ahahahahahahaha

Anyway this week-end: green smoothies, miso soup, water, herb teas, 3 days.

It is not easy to do a smoothie fast or juice or whatever in the winter time but smoothies are, to my point of view, the best way to succeed in Winter. Yes, go back on track tomorrow, I will too don't worry. Like me when I had those 2 pieces of toast yesterday it didn't taste THAT good....silly to go for something not even delicious!!!! How long are you willing to go on with your smoothies fast?

I have a problem responding directly to your email....

I am doing was sooooooo cold today that I had 2 pieces of bread + some cheese. So I have been "bad" but had my smoothie in the evening and will be having them tomorrow. The temperature is supposed to get down finally and it will be much easier. Anyway I want to be honest with you. I actually like having green smoothies in the morning and intend to keep them fro breakfast and they are so easy to make!!!!!

and yep, the spirals can be made with radishes or beets or carrots, sometimes cucumbers work, too. I have a simple spiralizer and I find that when I make something pretty and fun for my salads I am more inspired to make and enjoy salads as a meal. I used to really NOT like to make salads - this is just another way that raw has changed me!  blessings to you, Janet
