Hi, I used to do juice fasts for 29 days when I was younger.  Now I'm on day 9 and I wonder if I can be hurting myself doing it at this age.  I'm doing mostly carrot, ginger, kale, parsley, celery, cucumbers, and beets and apples occasionally.  I noticed small things going wrong with my health (diverticulitis, summer cold that is now in my lungs) and thought I needed to do something profound to turn my health around.  I would like to continue this for another two weeks.  I do water enemas every two days if I don't have a bowel movement.  I drink 32 ounces of juice and 32 ounces of water a day.  Today I started to finally feel great but I don't feel like I have my full health back yet so I want to continue.  Pros or cons are greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Greetings from a newbie.  I am 72,  live w/Candy, a Burmese cat, & we live in a small house that is as old as I am.  I like juicing, doing more experimenting w/ ingredients since joining this site!!  I grow a variety of sprouts, w/ buckwheat groats my newest today.  I am not fully raw.  I make my own "oatmeal" to make pancakes. I enjoy raw food "meet ups" & recently started attending one @ Maple City Mrkt in Goshen, Indiana. Fantastic demo's & samples. Warm, friendly people.   Blessings from Becky

oh yes, I have 3 greant grands & a 5 generation pic w/ them!!

hi Mamabird, so glad to 'hear' from you - I just checked into the 'Hab for a minute and saw your post here in the Elderberries suite. Sweet! I am having a lovely, healthy wholesome and awesome weekend! Later today I am going to a pool party at a friend's house and she specifically asked me to bring some raw delights - I plan to make a kale salad, two dips and some jicama sticks. Blessings to you!

I'm trying to get my son to move here.  He visits every few months and he hates to leave. He lives in So. Cal in the desert.

I'm right there with you, Mamabird.  We have the most beautiful piece of property overlooking the ocean.  I know we'll have to deal with "weather" with a capital W, but the lushness is worth it, I think.  And my son will only be two hour drive away.  We haven't lived that close to each other since he left for college 18 years ago!

Oregon is beautiful. I'm in Humboldt County in California, not too far from the Oregon border. I left the Hot city of San Jose, Ca. to move to the redwoods. I can't get enough of the trees and the coastline!

Hi Mamabird.  Welcome!  I have been very inactive over here of late, and for that I apologize to everyone.  There are only so many programs and forums one can be involved in.  Between packing up house to move from Colorado to Oregon and participating in Cleanse America and handling things at home while my husband is away for a month, life has been pretty crazy for me.  But I'll be back.  This is "home" to me.

Hi there! I didnt know this particular group was here. I'm doing The Cleanse America so after that over I'd love to come over here and hang out for support and sharing.

Hi everyone!   Not here very often, but I will respond to any messages, or requests. I am looking forward to participating in the up coming cleanse America!   Anyone interested in being juice buddies??

Peace, juice & love:
