Yes I eat flax and sunflower seeds.  Sometimes I will eat some pumpkin and sesame seeds but not much. I don't like chia seeds for some reason.  Yikes to the fish oil.  I have never used it.  I have two diagnosis.  One neurologist said that I have POTS and three others said I have MS.  I did a cleanse 8 years ago and have never been back to the doctors.  Issues will start up again if I stray from raw and eat to much fat.    I know it's hard to bounce back as your body fights harder for the crappy food so do your best to do a thorough cleanse and reset your system and stick with it.  It will change your life.

Thank you so much, Katy!! I have been eating quite a few nuts lately but will gravitate towards the seeds.  Am assuming you mean things like chia, flax, and sunflower seeds? My ND has me taking so much oil....especially Omega 3 fish oils (6 whopping grams!!). Just seems like it would place a burden on my body digesting that much fat. Can I ask what type of autoimmune issue you have?  Mine is Scleroderma.  Had never even heard of it till I was diagnosed.

Hi Jenny, I have an autoimmune disease.  I recommend a lot of greens, smaller amount of fruit and very little fat.  I do not eat nuts but rather eat seeds.  I recommend intensive exercise to help calm the body down.  Turns off the fight n flight state that your body is in. I like to ride the bike, spinning classes are great.  This is great to do while cleansing, assuming that you're eating not doing a master cleanse or something that intensive.  Accupuncture helps to to calm the system.

Is there anyone who has had good luck with raw foods in curing or helping an autoimmune issue?

I add D3 Vitamin as well as the Vitamin C and Echinacea.

Hi Lisa,

When I get a sore throat what I have done in the past is take 5000 mg of Vit C and then continue with taking 1000 mg of Vit C every hour (until I start getting loose stools then I back off).  I once heard if you put a virus in a test tube with Vit C the virus can not survive.  The other thing I do is take echinacea drops right away the moment I notice signs of a problem.  When doing those I usually knock  the Virus right out of me, before it has a foothold.  Good luck!!  :)

Hi Lisa - I posted Maggie's Sore Throat & Cough recipe yesterday on RFR's Facebook page - see if it's something you'd like to try.
