Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
Maybe someone here might have advice or insight to share. Have you ever experienced or known of someone who experienced vague neurological issues after getting a new mattress, specifically after getting a memory foam mattress.
My 13 yr old daughter has been missing a lot of school due to migraines, body aches, nausea, dizziness, vommitting. At first I was thinking it was hormonal, then it dawned on me that we also just got her a memory foam mattress about the same time all those symptoms started. I didn't even think of the mattress being a contribting factor in it until I thought about how she seems to feel better as the day goes on. This morning she was barely able to walk when she first woke up.
Any good brands of more natural mattresses that won't requite me to take out a loan to purchase it? I thought about maybe replacing it with a cotton/wool mattress, but I am looking for one without the springs.
She's not raw, but her diet has gotten cleaner and I do try to buy as much organic foods as posible.
But not only do I want her to not miss out on school I need her to feel better because as someone who has spent years with Dr's trying to diagnose me with MS, I know what it's like to not feel good and have no specific answer.

They may be pricey, but if your daughter is getting that ill from the chemicals in her new mattress you may want to think about these mattresses. Try googling natural or Organic mattresses and see what else you can come up with.
Permalink Reply by Lorraine P. Johnson on May 29, 2012 at 7:21pm I am sorry I have no answer, but I want to thank you for posting this as I had not considered this as a possible occurrence as I was considering getting the memory foam mattress in the future.
I only concidered it because I can't think of anything else that has changed for my daughter. And I had just recently replaced my memory foam pillow with just a cheapie cotton pillow and have had less allergies. Now I am concidering replacing my mattress with a natural mattress after I replace my kids mattresses. I actually wasn't the one to think of my memory foam mattress being the culprit of my allergies, my husband was.
