Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
Hi..:)
I was just wondering if there is somebody who might have some tips on how to go about eating 100% raw when one has got Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?
I´ve been eating 100 % raw on-and-off for the last one-and-a-half year, and I am currently on a mostly non-raw diet. At times I´ve felt really good eating all raw; better than I´ve ever felt eating a standard diet; but there seems to always come a certain point when I actually feel worse.
I think my problem is, that I tend to lean too much towards the sugary foods on a raw food diet (dried fruits, high sugar fruits like bananas etc), which I guess is quite natural as my diet since my CFS diagnosis has been almost totally absent of sugar, making me crave it really bad when I´ve get only a small taste of it. Which succeeds only to send my blood sugar levels racing, and then leaving me feeling only more lethargic.
Have anyone out there experienced the same thing, and do you have any tips to how I could go about eating 100 % raw when I´ve got CFS?
Thank you so much in advance,
raw love Karen

I had extreme chronic fatigue for 5 very long years, which was later followed by fibromyalgia. Above all, rest when you can & pace yourself, as overdoing makes matters 1000x worse. Learn to say no; to get well, you have to make yourself a priority. Back then, I had no resource other than my dr., who said there’s nothing you can do but wait out a virus. Initially I took it on as you would fight cancer, but that route just depleted me of what little energy I had left. I worked toward building my immune system via juicing, but one thing that really, really helped was to meditate. While you’re resting, imagine a healing blue light, entering through your head; very, very, slowly working its’ way throughout your body until it exists your feet. My take is that its’ relaxing so that you enter a deeper sleep phase, allowing your immune system a chance to recoup. Be sure that you’re getting enough vitamin D. I was prescribed antidepressants that increase dopamine levels. It did help in providing some energy. You can raise dopamine through foods, as well. Wishing you both a speedy recovery…
