Hi Wanda - sounds like you don't need a dehydrator at all.  I usually set my dehydrator around 110 - 115 degrees F for most recipes - so all you need is a couple of baking sheets and silpat (a non-stick liner) or parchment paper! And yes - a dehydrator has a fan, but you could perhaps even leave you door ajar if you're worried about it creeping over the "official" limit. I'm not a stickler on that anymore - I think you have just what you need!

I have never used a dehydrator so I don't really know how they work. Before I purchase one, I would like to ask if my Gaggenau oven will do the same thing. I can set the temp as low as 95 degrees F with no fan. I can set the temp as low as 120 degrees F with the fan running. What temp is a dehydrator? Does a dehydrator have a fan?

It’s just like the magic bullet but 2X as powerful. I’m going to get one as soon as they come out with a bigger craft.

I hope that I'm posting this question in the right place.....Has anyone tried the Nutribullet? I have a juicer and a high speed blender but this  looks like a quick fix and I'm interested but want to know if anyone else likes their's.

I never ever heard of a cut resistance glove. I need one one of those

Comment by Jennifer Tucholski on September 10, 2012 at 5:36pm

I was looking at purchasing a cut resistance glove for my mandoline. There are so many out there and was wondering if anyone has any reviews for gloves that they own and work good and also are easy to clean. The guard that I have for my mandoline is big and bulky and doesn't work very well, but I love the mandoline, so I am hoping that I can use the glove in place of it. I don't want to take any chances with my fingers. Please send some reviews and top choices that aren't too pricey. Thanks so much!

Hi. I'm a newbie who's wondering how effective a nu wave oven is as a dehydrator.

Hi all,

I'm just wondering if there are any Australians out there that would know the best place for me to get a Blentec or Vitamix as well as an Excalibur or similar quality dehydrator.  I'd love to save some $$ so second hand is just as good as a great deal on a new one. Thanks,

Becca
