Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

OK, money is still an item for me (of course I know it is for all!) but I did turn in some PTO in order to have extra on this paycheck. Should I opt for the Jack LaLane Power Juicer so that I can do a juice fast/feast or get the cheaper hand crank juicer that is really for wheat grass?

What do y'all think???

I know that eventually I will need both... but I'm leaning towards the big bore juicer since I don't have my wheatgrass growing yet and it will be several weeks before that is set up and producing. I could be juicing right away... decisions, decisions...

I had the Jack LaLane Power Juicer until TODAY and I loved it. It was wonderful month that we spent together since we first met at Costco. I was throwing in fruit and veggies galore for breakfast this morning and couldn't figure out why my juice wasn't coming out? Upon further inspection, I discovered that I forgot to put the filter back into the machine before screwing the blade on. Now my blade is stuck and won't come off! :(

I feel like a moron and am too embarrassed to contact customer care. If I can't get the blade off, I will probably go old school and buy a hand crank unit myself.
Weird.. the hand tool thingy doesn't work to get it off? I would call customer service though.. they might be able to help you get your juicer back. :)

So we're watching Jennifer Cornbleet's video. My 13yo son comes home and sits down with us (??!!). When she gets to juicing with her Green Star, he goes, "Look at that! her pulp isn't as dry as ours is! Maybe that's because even though hers is electric, ours is better!" :D
Any thoughts on norwalk juicers?
I am new to juicers and currently researching them.  If I purchased this manual one you recommend, would I need to purchase a separate container (such as a measuring cup) to catch the juice?  If so, what size cup would fit under it?

The Healthy Juice is available here through the RFR site. If you purchase it from Penni's Picks, it will benefit the site. It costs to run this site. Penni will never toot her own horn, so I will! : )

If you purchase anything that is highlighted, books, DVDs, equipment from Penni's Picks, it will benefit the site.
It comes with it's own cup to catch it in.
