Comment by Christine on February 13, 2013 at 12:16pm Tamanu ois is excellent for treating acne and a lot of other skin conditions. Hemp oil is also good since it is anti-inflammatory and doesn't clog pores. A few times a week I wash my face using the oil cleansing method using a mixture of hemp, tamanu and castor oils. A spot treatment of tea tree oil before going to bed works great too.
Comment by nancy fleecs on July 15, 2012 at 7:48am I use products from Living Libations may sound strange but I wash my face with Sea Buckthorn oil and since I began my adult acne has pretty much cleared up! I love this companies products!
Comment by Shannon Terry on July 14, 2012 at 11:42pm Any advise about acne? I started using aveeno acne scrub and moisturizer, yet just realized the company is by Johnson & Johnson, so helllloooo animal testing. Not cool, especially since it works extremely well for my skin. I'm going to use up what I have left but I need an alternative, cheap-ish, cruelty free, and effective treatment for my acne prone skin. Please help!

Comment by Shannon Terry on July 8, 2012 at 5:17pm Yes that's it! Extremely itchy, flakes when I scratch it, and burns when something touches it. I think I have some Omega-3 supplements somewhere, I'll start taking them. Thanks!
Comment by nancy fleecs on July 7, 2012 at 11:47am Do you take Essential Fatty Acids? I notice when I forget my EFA's I will start to get a similar patch? It is uncomfortable, itchy and almost burning feeling?!
Comment by Shannon Terry on July 7, 2012 at 11:11am I have really sensitive skin, and right now I have this patch on my scalp that is extremely itchy and flaky. It's been there since january and has gotten bigger. I've tried so many things, tea tree oil shampoo, tea tree oil itself, rosemary oil, apple cider vinegar, etc. I use sulfate free natural shampoo and spray it everyday with a mixture on apple cider vinegar, tea tree oil, and rosemary oil, but still nothing seems to work. It's is so uncomfortable! Any suggestions???
Susan, what I've done is to put my hair in a pony tail and then take straight olive oil and put it on the ends of my hair in the pony tail. Then I put a wrap around it to keep it in on the hair so it doesn't drip. I still use saran wrap once a month on my hair. Then wash your hair. It will condition it and your hair won't feel like straw.
I've heard only about "Dr. Bronners" body soaps and shampoos for natural care.
