Question re coconut oil, isn't "raw" coconut oil the same as extra virgin coconut oil (unrefined, cold-pressed) ....i.e Nutiva brankd (organic extra virgin that is cold-pressed and unrefined)? I was using Nutiva both in recipes and on my skin (and face!). Thanks.

I wonder why I never came here before?  The Pantry has some great information.

No it is not raw.  If you would like a great alternative, try some Cauliflower Popcorn!

Dehydration and Potassium deficiency are the top causes at leg cramps, especially when they come at night. Other minerals do play a role as well, but potassium is generally the one to look at first.  It sounds like you're doing fine in magnesium with all those greens and you're getting an impressive variety as well.  So bananas, apricots, avocados, cantaloupe,  broccoli, oranges, etc. all have excellent potassium profiles.

That is the point, I do have a lot of leafy greens everyday. I change between a bunch of parsley, dandelion, spinach, the greens of carrots, the leaves of turnip cabbage, chard, the leaves of the beets, rugola, mint, basilico, kale,... I think I missed a few.

And I was never cheap with the greens. I will check this Natural calm and will keep you updated.

Thanks so far.

Bananas and fresh oranges are loaded with potassium (which a deficit in can cause leg cramps) & magnesium is in most dark leafy greens.  There is a great product on the market called Natural Calm which has magnesium in it and The Raw Food World carries it.  It also is said to support individuals with anxiety issues as well.  Just a thought.

Dark leafy greens....

I had a cramp last night in my left calf, for me it is a sign, that my body needs magnesium. Before my highraw journey I took a powder from a drugstore. I do not want to do this again.

Any suggestions what food I should increase to eat, does anyone has similar expiriences?

Saludos!
