Raw Food Rehab

Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

Hello. I am new to RFR and excited to be here. I am a Holistic Registered Nurse with a practice in Colon Hydrotherapy. One of my interests is in the area of research as it relates to diet & nutrition, utilization & elimination. As you can imagine, when I found this room I was thinking...."now that's what I'm talking about!". You can do a lot of things, but you can do a lot of things right.....and you are spot-on!!! This website is birthing a "spot-on" approach in my opinion!!!

It is absolutely imperative for cleansing & sanity to have "a normal bowel movement" EVERYDAY. An absolute ideal, EVERY MORNING BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE. You say what's normal? At least one really large stool in the a.m.! It generally takes a meal 12-15 hours transit time. Most truly regulated bodies have a bowel movement 2-3 times a day and with that said, should desirably eliminate one meal prior to ingesting the next meal. However, those that are juicing frequently during the day may find a different pattern. Ideally, the big kahunta(really large stool) should come in the morning, with two smaller stools during the day &/or evening. Heavy raw will have a tendency to be more fluffy. And size matters...the entire portion of the left descending colon should be eliminated in the morning which should profoundly be a whopping 18-20". And yes, ribbons are a tell-tale sign….CONSTIPATION!

This is a great rule of thumb when it comes to food utilization~elimination:

*utilization/assimilation during the day...
*healing during the night....
*cleansing/elimination in the morning.....

So, on RAW(what our bodies crave) you would have the desired elimination in the morning.....on SAD you are intolerant of those foods(in general) so either your body reacts with constipation(which explains why some people can go for days & not experience a bowel movement) or diarrhea(which explains why some people have to go to the toilet within 30 minutes of consuming their meal). Constipation and/or diarrhea is a result of your system responding by eliminating calorie dense, nutrition depleted foods and of course dehydration with regard to constipation. A barrage of loose stools while consuming a raw diet needs to be addressed; this means you are not assimilating nor maintaining proper nutrition. However, an occasional loose stool can very well mean detoxification……YAY, now that’s what I’m talking about!!!!!!!

I just love the freedom of speech on this site on such graphic topics!!!!!  I have a question for you Rita (lovely Rita meta maid.....sorry I had too.....lol) anyways, I just turned 50 (yay!) and my doctor, of course suggested a colonoscopy, which i politely refused.  What is your take on having them done?  My assimilation and elimination of food is excellent at least 95% of the time and textbook to what you describe is healthy above.  So, I don't really feel that I need to have a colonoscopy done (also, no cancer runs in my family)  I did agree to a 3 day stool sample.  Any opions on colonoscopy's?

Wow!  I just noticed how old this post was!!!!!

what I learned from doctor is good info...I explained the float and smell...he said greasey...I said no.  Said blood test will confirm if celiac .. important to know because if you do have celiac you are 30% more likely for colon cancer.  His words.  Then took biopsy to check colon for absorption and health.  Turns out

Floating -- because I produce gas in colon..no problem

Smell--because of inflamation in body --childhood arthritis

No health issue from it.
