Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!

Hi gang,

I recently saw David Wolfe's infomercial on the Nutribullet and was thinking of buying one.  Has anyone purchased this item and what do you think of it?  I would dearly love to have a Vitamix but I just can't afford one right now and thought maybe I could get my juices and smoothies with this item.

I see that it’s advertised as a juice extractor but it is not. And it coast $120. You can get a HealthMaster for $200.

The Nutribullet looks just like my Magic Bullet I've had for oh.... almost 10 years maybe. I've had to replace the cross blades only once after about 6 years!! Amazon has them for $37 plus shipping- such a deal! They don't extract juice, but you can use a nut milk bag or just drink the smoothies. My son makes his in the Magic Bullet- he says it's a little bit of a pain, but he accepts it. The Vitamix website has reconditioned ones for $379, and not sure, but I think they might have financing??? Also- you might think about placing an ad on craigslist saying that you are looking for a used one...

I've seen the infomercial a few times.... to me it is just a repackaged magic bullet -I'd bet a large apple that it is manufactured/offered by the same company. Wolfe uses the healthy aspects of fruit/veg to try to make it seem like it is the machine that makes the stuff - which is clearly not true.

Just like wendy says - ifyou want a magic bullet - you can get one for cheap.

I bought the Tribest Personal Blender for about $50 and have been using it every day and really like it. The version I bought comes with 2- 16oz cups and then 2 smaller cups/blades for grinding up stuff (haven't used these yet). I liked this one over the magic bullet based on reviews and power levels.

At the end of the day, I would personally stay away from anything infomercial. And for Kathleen - I'd do a lot of research about the healthmaster - the machine has absolutely horrible reviews all across the web and on amazon - I used to think Montel was awesome but now with his wide lineup of products he shills for, I am no longer a fan.

I love my HealthMaster and Bill Balow uses one too. So whatever

Thank you all for your opinions on the Nutribullet.  For now I will stay with my Oster blender.  It's not a Vitamix but it's pretty powerful.  If this infomercial did one thing, it got me back on doing smoothies and juices again! lol

Hi Maria,

I just came across the infomercial on the Nutribullet. Did a little digging, as a bought my daughter a Tribest blender about a year ago. She loves it. It is rated at 250 watts of power, whereas the Nutribullet advertises at 600 watts of power. It is made by the Magic Bullet folks, but the Magic Bullet only sports 250 watts, so it is a bit of an upgrade there. I personally use a VitaMix, and have for many years. I love it, but I'm starting to consider something a bit smaller for the convenience. I teach middle school, and would like to have something I could keep at school to mix up a smoothie for lunch, as opposed to making it each morning and putting it vacuum-sealed jars. I know the turn-off to the infomercial concept, and Wolfe's is a bit cheesy, but there seem to be some good reviews. Haven't looked at HealthMaster, so no comment there. Don't know if any of this helps, but thought I would throw it out there.

I would just add too- that since I've gone 811 the volume of food I eat/drink is not conducive to something that small anymore... I haven't used the magic bullet in a very long time. If you are at all considering going 80-10-10 you'll need something bigger for juices/soups/stews etc.  This morning I blended a whole cantaloupe and 4 oranges! ;)

I bought the Nutribullet because I wanted a small blender that I could bring along when I travel. I LOVE it. It totally liquifies what I put in and it cleans up in seconds. It's much easier to use than my big juicer and there's no left over pulp. I use it every day, not just for trips! It's fairly new so I can't comment on how long they last. You can get one for $99.00.

I have had the Nutri Bullet for awhile now because I could not afford the vitamix and I love it and use it every day.   I use it in the morning for green smoothies.  I have used it for, kale, spinach, Broccoli, apples, carrots, beets and more it has successfully turned it all to liquid.  You do have to add water I use coconut water but only a small amount.  I have also used it to shred fresh coconut for drying as well as making powder from seeds and I make my almond milk and nut butters in it.  I purchased mine at Target for 99.00 and it was well worth that.  I also have the Magic Bullet and it does not compare, I still use my Magic Bullet for smaller jobs.  I have found it a great alternative to a Vitamix and no longer have the desire to purchase the Vitamix.

I will chime in here and just say that my Vitamix is great for making LARGE batches- I often drink 1/2 gallon of watermelon/orange juice as part of a healthy breakfast ;) Also- if you are making stuff for a family or more than 1 person- the size of the Vitamix might be worth the added expense. Does the Nutri-bullet make soft serve "ice cream" out of bananas and fruit? Love my Vitamix for that!

I have the health master and i think its great! I ordered the nutribullet about a month ago and i love it. I make my rockin wellness in the morning then i make my lunch smoothie and bring it with me. It works great and nice and compact. I would love a vitamix but these will have to do for now. i recommend the nutribullet!

Yes I use it to make banana "ice cream"  works great for that too!
