Adding LIFE to your years and years to your life!
We have been talking so much about juicing and juice feasting lately and there are lots of discussion threads happening here in the Liquid Lounge on this topic, which is awesome! However, I feel like we need a central thread that is open and ongoing for comments, questions and feedback on this topic. We currently have a number of people who are juice feasting, and many others who will be doing so in the days and weeks to come, so we want to offer a central forum for all of you.
It makes sense to have a central place where members can post ideas, plans, thoughts, concerns, issues, etc. at anytime, regardless of where they happen to be on during their juicing process.

No promise required, this is a very supportive group and one that I would be lost without!

I also just had some dialog with RFR member Marianne and she suggested checking out Jo Cross's website Join The Reboot (it's free). Joe does juice fasting and has a different approach than David Rainoshek, which is on actual juice feasting. Promise me if you go over there, you'll come back here, tho, okay?! : )
Thank you, all, for your input! After reading each of your comments and also after viewing the videos in the discussion that Susan posted 'Juicefeasting Info with David and Katrina Rainoshek', I'm really looking forward to joining juicefeasting.com to learn more.
Also, I was wrong in that you can't get any specific guidelines without a membership. The links under 'Juice Feasting Introduction' alone contain an abundance of information. I've been to the site at least 5 times this past week, and it wasn't until tonight that I just figured that out. Very slow on the uptake, this one. (Don't ever be offended if you tell me a joke and I have to fake laugh--it won't be until a few hours later that I'll be slapping my knee in appreciation of the punchline. This will happen mid-conversation in the presence of coworkers who weren't there for the original telling of the joke; I'll attempt to explain but will only remember half of the details...situation = awkward..)
Anyway, I think I might sign up for a year-long membership. I want to be able to prepare before I start but then I'm sure during the feast, new questions will arise, and I'll want to be able to search around and access information.
I purchased your two juicing books last week because I was interested in doing maybe a 10-day juice feast. Thank you for sharing your journey..I think I read through Real Juice Daily in one sitting. I was hooked! I found the writing to be so inspiring; I realized that the idea of doing a longer term juice feast seems even more appealing to me and that's what has driven me to look into it further.
My husband and I have already started replacing 1 or 2 meals a day with juice; he isn't planning on doing a long term juice feast but is fully supportive of my interest in it. I have decided I will start a 10-day juice feast this Friday and I will complete a longer (30,60,92 day?) juice feast within the year. Maybe a continuation of this 10-day feast, I don't know. I want to do everything I can to be fully mentally prepared. Even still, I'm sure I'll encounter unanticipated challenges, and it's reassuring to know I'll have the RFR community to support me.

Juicefeasting.com really is the most comprehensive resource on the topic. The paid content is literally like taking a college course in the study of all aspects of juice feasting and raw vegan living. It's honestly worth the investment if a person is able to do it. I've also got my ebooks on juicing and liquid fasting that are on special right now, but I don't go into it in the depth that David Rainoshek does - plus it is his teaching, so I didn't feel like I needed to re-create the wheel.
Jayna said:Has juicefeasting.com always been a paid membership? I see a lot of comments from years past referring newbies to that site, but when I visit, it seems that you can't get any specific guidelines without paying at least a $36 membership fee (for 30 days' access). A year's membership is $139.
I want to know how to do it correctly- what exactly is recommended (supplements, colon cleansing, etc.) at which times and at what frequency during a juice feast.
What is the best, most thorough, reliable source of information?
I look forward to hearing your suggestions!! Thanks:)
HI All,
Thank you for having this beautiful forum!!! The idea of juicing for several days feels a little daunting... although exciting. :) What "recipes" would you suggest for someone who works 40+ a week in a corporate job and does Bikram yoga almost every night...I want to make sure I have balance in the smoothies so I don't get too dizzy or light-headed. :) I feel like a few example days would give me confidence...Any tips are appreciated!!!
I'm hoping someone can tell me more about Crystal Manna Flakes. Penni talks about them in her Real Juice Daily e-book. Why did she use them? What were the benefits? Thanks!

Has anyone used the site juice feasting.com? I'm just wondering. I paid a years membership, but now that I am digging further in the site, I seem to see a lack of people and the people that are on the site all say there is no support from the creators David and Katrina Rainosheck. Pretty disappointed with the site support, although, there is good information on there.
Hi Patty,
If you read a few comments back on this thread, you'll see that I'd asked about juicefeasting.com as well...
I also ended up getting the year-long membership. I feel similarly that it no longer seems to be an active community, at least not nearly as active as RFR.
The site is full of information that I'm very happy to have access to, and I find community support here at RFR.

Thanks Jayna. After getting on the site and really digging, there is a ton of info on it. So, I'm glad I joined. And I think the active community is defiantly on RFR! So, I think I will use JuiceFeasting(.c0m) for info and use RFR for support. Thanks for the feedback.
