Right now Im on an AMAZING journey! Im currently doing a 100 Day Juice Feast, and am on day 86....today is my birthday, and Im feeling GREAT! Ive lost 57 lbs, and am getting back to great health. Im trying really hard to get more involved with the local raw community as well....going to potlucks and bringing juice, meeting and greeting, and filling my life with supportive people! Ive fasted before, and slowly gotten back to my bad habits, but its a  new year, a new birthday, and a new opportunity to succeed and turn my past digressions into GREATER success and inspiration! Im thinking of writing a recipe book (which Ive already started) and maybe writing a juicing book or leading juicing cleanses at some point in the future, as part of my LONG TERM goals. I also love connecting with others who use this amazing tool to cleanse and heal, and chat about the amazing, and sometimes weird side effects of juicing, and cleansing reactions. Ive officially finished 100 days of juicing!, I'm getting ready to meditate then easy my first solid meal.....a cherimoya!

I am on Day 5!!!!!! today I am feeling a bit tired and having emotions come up that are not that pleasant..but that is part of the cleansing too!!  Glad to have others doing the feast too! I feel supported here

I did a 10-day juice fast two months ago AND did Bikram yoga every other day at the same time but never felt any benefit from either, besides the loss of 4 pounds. I realized later that I did not consume enough liquid/water and I only drank like 6 cups of juice a day, which is nowhere close to a gallon. I didn't feel any different--not better or worse emotionally or physically. I also took senna leaf tea to facilitate bowel movements (no enemas).

Now I am on Day 1 of Penni's 14-day cleanse, which starts with 7 days of juice only. This will be easier now, as I've done a longer fast before. I just wish I could feel some benefit from it, like signs of  detoxing or something positive. Perhaps just for me personally, 10 days was not long enough to feel any benefit. Like I should shoot for 30 days next time? I know everyone's different in their experiences...

Any thoughts?

Hey! I have just started my juice fast, but I include green tea as well as herbal teas in my fast, just to sip something in the office. :)

I am on day 7 of a 31 day juice fast maybe 60 days. I am suddenly feeling great! I bounce out of bed very early am full of energy and so focused. The fog is lifting slowly but surely.

I started out really liking fruit juices and sweet juices ( I still do). But my favourite at the moment is (Romaine lettuce, Kale, Cucumber, Tomato, Red Bell Pepper, Celery, Lemon and chili!! I am drooling just thinking about it.

Here is a fantastic recipe I found for a raw chai concentrate:

1 to 2 Tbl. fresh grated ginger

1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. ground cloves

2 tsp. vanilla

1/2 cup honey

Add 1-2 Tbl. to 2 cups of warm or cold almond milk and savor the deliciousness!

Alright so this isn't juice, but it is liquid but it can be sucked through a straw. Does that count? I made wheatgrass icecubes last night, perhaps it would have been prudent to share that recipe.

I failed again :( but not so horribly this time. I worked from a coffee house today and had chai, but no food, yay me!! Then tonight I made fresh guac and had store bought chips with it. I'm thinking of making raw tortilla chips for the evenings when I feel like I just need food (I know it's all mental). Hoping for all juice/smoothies tomorrow!!!

I want to start a juice feast - but I am afraid I will set myself up to fail if I make the statement " I am going to be juice feasting for the next week,  month,  year   etc!   I am going to start today and plant some sprouts and greens!
