Clay--I juice the first growth only.  The ideal height to cut is 6-7" tall.  Most experts feel there is more nutritional value in the first cut.  Also, by the time the second cut has grown tall enough there is a mold risk.

you can do either one

I have wheatgrass!!!  Do I clip and then juice alone or with other greens?  Do you grow your wheatgrass inside or out?  Does it matter?  Thanks!

I've been growing wheatgrass over the past few weeks and things are looking great (nice long, lushish blades of grass).

The problem I'm having is with the second cutting.  I've read where you should be able to get a second cutting (and sometimes a 3rd) but my grass looks burnt after a coupel of days and the grwwoth seems stunted or at least no where as fast as before the first cutting.

I am watering it 3 times a days, but to no avail.

Has anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions?

Thanks :-)

I purchased my plant stand at Walmart.  Click here for info on growing sprouts!

Hi Susan, Where did you get your plant stand for herbs.  Love it.  Also how do you grow sunflower sprouts?  Do you soak sunflower seeds and sprout first?  Then plant?  Your pictures are as beautiful as you.

hugs, miss you, Wanda

I planted some asparagus and it has already come up but I know it takes a couple of years for it to produce.  Should I pull up what has come up or leave it?

Lauren, that's a great solution to wheatgrass overload.  I'll remember that since sometimes I have the same problems.  Thanks for the suggestion.  Hope the baby is well plus you and the "hubby"
