Greeting fellow Rawkers..... I live in the beautiful country of Panama and to my dismay, I am unable to find any jicama here.....what can I use as a substitute? I have a lovely raw food recipe for a pseudo-potato salad (like yo Mama used to make) which calls for jicama instead of cooked potatoes..... What do you recommend I use as a substitute for the jicama?

Permalink Reply by Ayn on December 19, 2011 at 6:45pm Can you get parsnips? You can use that in place. I am sure there are other things, but off the top of my head, thats the only one coming to mind...
