Raw chocolate

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if I can make raw chocolate with coconut oil and cacao powder? I'm not sure how easy it will be for me to find the coco butter where I live and especially when I move. Can I buy it online?

Carrie, you can buy it online through many different websites.  I've purchased raw cacao butter through amazon.com

Hey Carrie,

Yes you can use coconut oil.  Just keep in mind that in order to make it firm in the heat of summer you are going to want to use the refrigerator.  It works great when you are trying to make it like a a chocolate bar.  

And to answer your question, yes you can by cacao butter online.  There are a ton of great sources.  I am sure that some one on here will have a great source that they can recommend.

Fortunately I'm in the UK so there's no such thing as the heat of summer lol. Its about 60 here right now so its probably ok. I never thought of making it like a chocolate bar, that's a really good idea. I wanted to make it with pecans and walnuts, I can't find it anywhere vegan let alone raw.

I forgot about Shazzie's website, I'm sure she has everything! I'll try to find it now.
