Permalink Reply by Mamabird on June 2, 2012 at 6:44pm Where are all the Elderberrys? Did we all get strong and perfectly healthy and don't need support any more? I know I do. I'm going to do the next cleanse as well but until then I know that I need the support. My family of course are always ready to stick a cookie in my mouth. I think they pray for it. I know that I will always need like minded individuals in my life to keep me strong. Blessed be.

Permalink Reply by Sharon Reeves on July 22, 2012 at 10:13am I am 62 and have recently begun my journey to better health. Heavens knows I've needed it for long time. My first step was to give up meat. Done, with the exception of a little baked fish...without much problem. Next step is to completely eliminate dairy...not as easy for me: I love cheeses. I have switched to Almond Milk without any big problems but how will I give up my cheese? Hopefully someone has an answer, I have cut way back but still am giving in when I have cravings. I also need to find something to satisfy my yogurt and cottage cheese cravings. I am happy to have become a member of the Elderberries.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I know I can do it. I was advised by a good vegan friend to take this transition in baby steps. First the meat, then the dairy. Where can I find a recipe for Coconut Almond Yogurt? I have oh, so much to learn!

You can make coconut kefir and then make a coconut yogurt from it. Tastes just like the milk version but much healthier for you. Just go to youtube and search for it there.

Permalink Reply by Cas on August 17, 2012 at 5:14pm Hi, I'm retired now and busier than ever so my diet has gone downhill. Instead of cooking, we buy prepared food from Whole Foods and eat out a lot. This is so strange since I am retiring from owning a health food store. I gained so much weight that my "fat clothes" were too small since I retired and I started having health issues that are rare for me. I decided to get back on track and do a juice fast which I hope will inspire me with help from this group to eat to maintain my weight rather than eat until I feel satiated. To do that, I need to cut out processed foods and eat raw more often. I know what I need to do, I just need help in doing it. This group seems like the positive energy I need to get motivated.
Permalink Reply by Kathleen Kelly on August 17, 2012 at 5:25pm I too was thinking of doing a juice fast

Permalink Reply by Sharon Reeves on August 17, 2012 at 6:44pm Can you tell me what is involved in a Juic Fast. And what is accomplished? I have a high speed blender but no juicer.
